Love the game to bits. Garrett was unbelievably cool.

Any word on a sequel?

Here I though deadly shadows was infact the third Theif game. And it was out for PC for over a year.

There was word of one, but trust me, you don't want it. After Ion Storm went bye bye, there was talk of Eidos making the series more "modern", giving the series lead to a girl, who had a gun, etc. It would have sucked more ass than anything before it.

Sorry. I meant the sequel to Thief III.

I'VE GOT A QUESTION: HOW IS IT, THAT A MOD HAS THE FORBIDDEN "R" WORD IN THEIR SIG?

OR 'ASSASSIN'S CREED'.
That's more like PoP, and the protagonist just won't be Garret.

Needless to say, he could just make Garret in Oblivion, but his rig probably can't handle that game.

Assassins creed is like the matrix, it's seriously a virtual reality simulation of a medieval assassin, that's no where close to Thief, that closer to what they wanted to do to poor Thief IV :(

This game ruineed my life from 12-13 i don't know how to solve that !@#$ then zombies!?:)

I loved the Thief games, but I just can't get into them as much anymore. Maybe I have less patience now then I did before, I don't know. But still great games (yes, I like Deadly Shadows, isn't as good as the first two, but still good).

Thief III holds it's own against the other two in my mind simply for the fact that it included the Shalebridge Cradle. That's probably the best designed, most atmospheric part of any game, anywhere, it was just fantastic. The only thing I can think of that even comes close is the Ocean House Hotel in Vampire Bloodlines, and even that wasn't even half as good. It's a shame that Warren left the company and Ion Storm died after Thief III :(

Yea, you hear about his new company? Junction Point Studios.. seems like they're never going to do anything though. They were working on a project, but it got canned, and now they're working on something else, real secretive like.

I think they're supposed to be working on a project based on Warren's PnP RPG "Toon", which sounds like it could be good. I really just wish that Warren had taken the Deus Ex and Thief IPs with him when he formed that studio. That would have been instant cash for them, and it would have been much better for me. Deus Ex was the best game of all time, and Thief pretty much started stealth, they deserve better than just dying in obscurity :(

I think Deadly Shadows is the best.

Sure, it didn't have the rope arrow, and Garrett wasn't able to block attacks with his sword (both unfortunate) but in terms of story and atmosphere, Thief 3 was the tightest knit.

Thief 2 did have some awesome missions though. Like the huge city rooftops ones. You didn't get that in Thief 3, but the levels were much more meaningful in Thief 3, as in there weren't areas of corridor that went on forever like the original two.

I didn't like the name, that was one thing that pissed me off, I just know some ****ty marketting guy did that. The previous names ("Dark Project" and "Metal Age") had storyline relevance and didn't sound like something a corny little 3rd grader would come up with. And "Deadly Shadows" misrepresents the game and the character anyways, Garret isn't supposed to be "deadly", he's supposed to be so good that he doesn't need to be. :down[/rant]
