I am surprised more people haven't brought up the fact that he lifted up the London Eye in the movie, that was a pretty big thing to do in my opinion. Anyone who has seen it in real life would know that it is a lot bigger and heavier than it looks. I am glad they showed him able to lift something so heavy, rather than just a car.
That's the biggest area where they just piss all over the comics/character.The thing was a lot better in this one i felt...
although i expect more emotion with him turning back into a human for a short while, i thought he'd at least be as emotional as beast was in the last stand when he saw his human hand.
I guess the thing is now at peace with his form.
Does having the thing bench press the london eye make him now have a feat of strength that is greater than the hulk's tank throwing?
Thing now has a THONG!I like The Thing, but, I would have still liked to have seen how this looked on film:

Yeah!Hey, the Thing IS organic! He is not really made of "rock" he just has a tough, rock like hide.

I agree....it's fine in the comics but way toooo cheesy for the big screen IMO....The Thong. For the record, I'm glad he didn't look like this.
Well I'm not talking really about his attire. I don't like that look for the big guy as far as cosmetically.
For some reason when I see this I think that he looks like he's covered in rice krispies or some type of cereal.I like The Thing, but, I would have still liked to have seen how this looked on film:
