Things from non-horror films that scare you.

When Jared Leto rolls up his sleeve in Requiem for a Dream. Gross as hell.

I havent seen the rules of attraction, I've read the book though.

Speaking of Ellis

Christian Bale running naked through a hallway with a chainsaw.

Actually just the movie version of Patrick Bateman in general creeps me out.

The Crying Game. You know which part. :o

Spider-Man 1 - the scene after Green Goblin attacks his competitors weapons testing, the next day they ask him about last night and he responds "last night" then "Aahhhh" they show a quick scene of him tripping out. Made me jump when i was in the theater lol

The scene in 127 Hours when Franco keeps looking behind him in the darkness , thinking something might be there , then all of the sudden
Scooby Doo
. I've gotten that feeling before , gives me chills.

Usually when people are getting beaten on screen scare me like in Once Were Warriors where Jake played by Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett) goes all crazy and beats the living crap out of his best friend who raped his daughter.

I think the real clincher is when Jake breaks a beer bottle and jams it into the dude's crotch. (OUCH).

Sounds like justice. :o

If you're referring to the Van Sant movie then I totally agree. Even when I rewatch it I get a terrible sense of dread and even feel sick to my stomach. :csad:

Yes, I am. Very authentic. Scary as hell :(

When I was a kid the Trucker in Pee Wee's Big Adventure scared the hell out of me.

As I mentioned in the "last movie you watched" thread recently, the scene from "Trekkies" where the woman talks about how she's obsessed with Brent Spiner and walks by his house all the time in case she can get a glimpse of him; it freaked me out to hear from a real-life stalker like that.

Well, to be fair, Data was pretty bawlin'.

Though yeah, that is a bit creepy...

The Winkies demon in Mulholland Dr.

That was probably the worst scare in my life. I remember it vividly.

I hadn't seen the movie all the way through at the time, just bits and pieces here and there. It was good, typical Lynch.

I came home from school one day, flipped on the tv and it was playing. I hadn't seen this part yet so I figured I'd leave it on - it was the scene in Winkie's.

That ****ing...thing...scared me so bad, I can't even describe it. I'm a horror buff; I've seen thousands of horror films. I'm completely desensitized. But I'm also aware when I'm watching a horror movie. Even jump scares, while they shock you for a second, you're always kind of expecting them. You have your guard up.

I did not have my guard up for this movie. It was the middle of the day, and it wasn't a "horror movie." I was not prepared for THAT.

I've since bought the movie on DVD but never watched it. :csad:

^It totally freaked me out on my first viewing.

The refrigerator in Requiem for a Dream.

I guess The Passion of the Christ with the 'old baby' and 'old children'. well done, actually.

nvm

EDIT: and then I saw the word non-horror in the thread title... *sigh*

The "hillbilly love" scene from Deliverance. Creeps me out everytime, very uncomfortable to watch.

Another one that I thought of that kind of creeps me out, or at least really weirds me out, is the end of Seven (especially the first time I saw it).

What's in the BOX?!?!
