The extended cut, obviously.
The screen test of all the actors and the actress who tested for the role (it will never happen). The special FX test of Nicholas Cage in costume flying.
The design for sets and costume of all the previous incarnations of the movie, including the Kym Barrett redesign of the costume that some reported being very well done.

I want more Jason scenes added to the film if possible. Give us a scene of him asking mommy why he can throw pianos. It's so dumb that he's not curious.

All that stuff you mentioned too. an extended edition would be great.

No Jason. More of a diabolical plot. ;)

grrr:ghost: Jason's cool. More Jason. Less of everything else.

Fine. We'll simply rename it, "All My Superchildren"

umm......how bout they explain why the FOS had NO SECURITY SYSTEM!!!

you would think that an advanced alien civilization would have advanced security devices......also spacecrafts that have more efficient landing gear......

so....if Jason can shove a piano across a room.....how come he didn't use his powers later to help mommy...........is is just a stress reaction??

Thats what I got from the piano scene...as for what I would like to see..deleted scenes, bloopers, screen test.

how about every little piece of movie info they can scrounge up?...

Though it would be interesting to see, since it's for an entirely different film, it wouldn't be necessary to have it on the DVD. And I'm pretty sure Singer is not putting in the Krypton sequence in because he doesn't think we'll enjoy it enough...excuse me?

this too

Me too. Me too.
In a interview Louise Mingenbach mentions where WB has all the pre-production stuff.

"Sometimes that need to put your stamp on something is a recipe for disaster. In earlier scripts, people had gone too far to be different. It's an ego thing. Warner Bros. has a big prep house where they do all the early work for big movies that began with Batman 20 years ago. There are a lot of skeletons and bones lying around that graveyard. In the Tim Burton version of Superman [never made], the theory was that, instead of blue tights, he'd paint his skin blue. The character was in a suit, and blood was pumped through these exterior veins. Don't even ask. It was crazy.

what ??????????????????????????????

Can someone tell me what happened to the Box office thread please?

Wasn't it closed by the mods due to much flaming at the end where users were just fighting over that their opinion was always right ?

I remember something about the mods closing the thread since it really didn't have any function now that SR has been released..or something like that

 It does have a function since the box office is one of the biggest discussion points on this board.

SR still hasn't been released in quite a few markets so it's definetly still relevant. I still don't get why the thread was closed.

The box office thread in the X-Men boards is still up.

I know , i know.

I remember that the mods really wanted to close down due to excessive flamiing. Apparantly the BO thread in the SR forums was thread where they got the most complaints from. Again i'm not sure , but i think it is true..
Especially the last pages or so so were just all out flame war.

Yeah thats true but the flaming is all over. In just about every thread people are spewing venom at each other over all kind of SR related stuff not just the box office thread.

Maybe the thread can be reopened when SR hits 200 million in the US. One can dream.:(

Well i just went on the MOJO website ( not the dutch MOJO he he :p ) to check out the latest BO figures of movies as well as the international BO.
The numbers of august indicate that Supes will probably not reach 200 mil AT ALL.
It's now in 750 screens and nearing 193 million. With 180.000 everyday and a million or two in the weekend , it'll still take a long long time to release hit 200 million.

It's a shame really cause i think NO ONE , not even (semi) haters expected superman to do that bad at the BoxOffice. Personally , SR isn''t a bad movie IMO but a very average movie. I had it initially at a low 6/10 when i first saw it in the IMAX in holland. But after watching it the second time in IMAX in Holland with the 3-D effect ( the 3-d machine was broke the first time  ) , i was surprised at how "good" the movie was actually. The Vfx were more clearer and for some reason i found the performances better. Sure there are some bad acting moments but overal i liked it more to give it a 7/10

The thing , especially with the BO figures of SR is that opinions aren't respected and instead presented as facts.
I think that people ( both haters and fans) should realise that the movie isn't the hit everyone was expecting it to be and that it underperformed.
Granted a 192 million isn't that bad , but of course compared to the budget spent , it is bad.
I mean the first matrix was made for 65 million , was rated R, came out of nowhere and grossed 171 million domestic. Now that's what you call a good performance at the BO. Exceeding every result and showing legs.
SR didn't have that. And given the ante that Batman Begins has raised in terms of faithfully staying true to the comics and Spiderman 1 and 2 raising the bar for VFX spectacles and villains , SR needed to beat them.
It didn't.

Superman is something for all ages , for all genres. It isn't the dark brooding hero that Batman is , which IMO is more suited for males.
SR should've performed like POTC 2.

I agree. I think personally feel though that this movie was great 8/10 and 'deserved' a better performance at the box office. But the fact is that POTC2 is on $858,082,747 and SR on $347,961,820 worldwide and thats pretty tough to swallow.

Speaking of legs, Da Vinci Code has sure got some. It's still in cinemas here and is still in in the top ten.

BTW Sorry Antonello for derailing your thread.

I would like to see a nice little thing on all of the failed projects up to the point of Superman Returns. And not some watered down piece I want some test footage, screentests, storyboards...all that kind of stuff.

It now at 700 something worldwide right

Anyways yeah sorry antonello , back to the thread.
For me , i'd like to see what just what was eventually cut out of the movie and present it much like an extended edition a la LOTR.
With of course lots and lots of extras .

DVD :
1 Extended cut featuring the scene from KRypton , as well as scenes with Ma Kent , her new boyfriend who got cut as well as all the spoken lines of Kal Penn.I'm sure there are other scenes so just all make an extended cut.

2 Commentaries by Singer and the writers , Routh and Bosworth and Kevin Spacey , and if it can be done the VFX supervisors as well as R.A. Rondell

3 BIG MAKING OF DETAILING
- Casting ( MUST HAVEROUTH's final test where as well as the other casting done by other actors. I'd love to see who was going to be superman)
- VFX with every detail explained
- Costume design
- set design
- physical stunt work ( rigs used etc)
- shooting superman returns where they talk about how the shoot was done for day 1 to day....i dunno 100  . Cast especially and crew must be featured heavily here as they talk about how they shot certain scenes memories etc.

4 Score and Editing discussions since both are done by John Ottman

5 If WB has the balls that they showed on the matrix Reloaded and revolutions , they'd be brutally honest and do a feature ( or documentary) about the failed Superman projects.
Things must be included here are
- early vfx tests done by studios
- the projects with McG , Brett Rattner and Tim Burton with talks by Rattner , Burton and Kevin Smith deataling their storylines as well as why they decided to abort . Storyboards would be a given here , showing just what they had in mind with their action scenes.
- design work such as costumes etc.

6 And of course BLOOPERS .
Cause i so wanna see that Blooper Reel that they showed on Comin Con.
