I hate that my best friend was saving up money to buy engagement rings for him and his boyfriend for Christmas, and now they've broken up.

I hate that his ex assured him day in and day out that he loved him, and then after he found out he was browsing gay hookup sites and confronted him, he admitted he has zero romantic feelings for him anymore.

I hate that if I can't land a job with more hours and higher pay than the one I have right now, I won't be able to move in to replace my friend's ex, and if I can't, they'll lose the apartment.

It's just really rude. You can at least be considerate enough to both stand on the same side of the passageway so that people can get past without having to squeeze between you.
