those winter hats with the earflaps

might be the Justin Bieber syndrome...:oldrazz:

I hate this new sudden found patriotism everyone has over the death of Osama. I mean, I understand and get the whole idea of being proud to be an American where at least you know you're free, but there's a different between being a proud patriot and being an ignorant racist.

The United States has ALWAYS banded together in tragedy and events like this.

Just think of it as your favorite sports team winning a championship. All season people criticize them, but once they win, everyone pulls the "we did it" card even when they never followed the team.

No no, I get all of that guys, but I'm driving around town (spoiler alert: I live in the midwest) and all the local bars had signs that said "buy 1 get 1 drink free. Thank the dead dirty Arab!".

I wouldn't call it "ignorant racism" - or anything near that. But it doesn't feel right. I've stated several times; He absolutely needed to be stopped at any cost, and I'm glad he was, but the jubilation doesn't feel right.

No I see all that too, Bamf, I'm glad he was stopped, but they're literally blaming the entire Arab community off of his actions.

I agree, all of this partying shown on the news feels a bit premature, and my only fear is that we won't be laughing for long because of some kind of rude awakening.

It's all just a symbolic victory for sure. His death isn't gonna change a damn thing. Not for the better, anyway. The people who post their status' about now there being peace and bringing the troops home and whatnot are naive and kind of ******ed. There are about a million people ready to take his place and continue everything he worked for. All his death has done has made him a martyr to those people and make them motivated for retaliation. Not necessarily saying I wish he weren't killed (I, personally, don't really give a **** one way or the other), but the people acting like this is some big victory for the US are annoying as ****. And I'm not even gonna share my thoughts on the whole 9/11 thing.

I hate that my family gives me **** when I spend most of my time with my friends when I go back to visit.

I hate those advertisements that pop up on websites that you hear yet for some reason you can't see, like that Reebok one with the talking soles.

Okay here's my opinion on the matter: I don't blame them for celebrating and I won't hold it against people. I say, let them celebrate, let them be patriotic. I say, let them have this moment. I've heard back home that several of the firefighters I know who were there on 9/11 were celebrating. Who am I to tell them that it's wrong to celebrate? And this is an important moment yet some people are acting like it isn't. The most wanted man in the world, who caused unspeakable crimes upon this nation is dead. I couldn't care less about the effects right now.

There are people that will celebrate a death like this not only because they truly believe it's over, but because they want to think the positive way on the matter. Why not be naive for now? They want to believe that things will be better. It may not be justice in everyone's eyes, but it's justice is in theirs. What am I trying to say, is let the people who celebrate have their happiness. Let them have their happiness, as people struggle to obtain that happiness during their daily lives as people struggle everyday. It's not hurting anyone, well except for what Aesop said (that mentality is disappointing). If anything giving hope to this country is what we need now, even if it is false pretenses, which it may not be. There could be a domino effect as we cut off the head of Al Qaeda. We don't know what will happen to them now. Terrorism won't be over, but this is a victory for not only the US, but the world too. People say that this won't be a turning point, and even while I would agree with them, it possibly could be a turning point.

And to be honest, after I found out the news, and after I broke down about it and mourned all of those deaths from 9/11 and the other deaths that he caused, I went and put on America f**k yeah. I'm not saying that everyone should celebrate, and that they should be cheering on the madman's death. I'm not trying to force anyone to do against their personal beliefs. But what I'm saying is, I don't think they should be pissed or offended that others are celebrating a guy who's killed many people, caused years and years of grief, pain and suffering along this nation among others. And lets not forget how much this one man changed this nation into what it is today, in which a person on a plain struggles to even bring a water bottle or tooth paste on board a plane. He brought this nation to their knees, to a level of sadness not felt since Pearl Harbor, if not ever. This guy was too dangerous to be taken alive, and I believe that they had to kill him.

And about retaliation of his people: if anything I suggest that things would say the same here. Al Qaeda was trying to blow up when he was alive, so what would be different if he dead other than the fact the possibly they could be a bit more disorganized.

Damn straight ! Besides the Packers winning the Superbowl , Osama dying is the only other good thing that's happened for me this year. This is a time to celebrate for Americans right now. Our greatest enemy of the 21st century is dead.

this msn iq quiz virus i got last night, ****ing pissed off, luckily my cpu is armed to the teeth with malware/virus checkers

I'm the only one of my male gay friends who seems to think anything of having sex with various people at the same time who are unaware of each other's existence.

Er...I hate just getting out of a breakup and having no person to talk to/have be around to even just help me forget for a few hours, only to see the other person in the break-up spending all of their time with another guy.....I hate being alone. God that sounds whiny and depressing.
