Most annoying things people say..

"Is this on sale?"

I work in retail. *shiver*

My dad has a few favorite sayings

"Don't be stupid."
"Have a reasonably good time."
"Hit it Chops!" (No, my name is not Chops)
"Here's $50."(Wait, no, that's something I wish he would say...

What is so hard to understand about that post?

I hate this, when people pretend they didn't understand an allegory.

What is the most annoying the people say in your opinion?

Every kind of small talk there is.

It all seems forced, trivial, and a waste of time.

I hate it when I say something and somebody goes "that's what he/she said."

when people walk behind you and say 'beep beep' . . .

emo
screamo
grindcore
screamcore
emocore

puh-leeeze

When people talk and they use "like" in every sentence.

Anything coined by a football "analyst".

For example:

1.) "Like a Tom Brady, or a Peyton Manning, or a..."

They're not robots, they're separate people. REFER TO THEM AS SUCH!

2.) Use of the word "sexy", when referring to draft picks, free agents, teams, etc.

"Matt Stafford will be the sexy pick in this year's draft." STOP IT.

On the other hand, this isn't so much as what people say, but how they say things... But when people, whether of that cultural background or not, begin to change their accent depending on who they're around (i.e., people with Latin ANCESTORS- NOT Latinos/Latinas themselves- using hispanic accents when actual Latinos are around). My mother does this around other New Yorkers and it bugs the **** out of me.

Also, when people say, "I'm [insert nationality]," when they're AMERICANS.

You're not German. You're not Italian. You're not French. Your parents/grandparents/ancestors might have been born and raised in Germany, Italy, or France, but if you weren't, YOU'RE NOT OF THAT NATIONALITY!

If you don't like the country, gtfo!

America, FTW! :cmad:

What I hate the most about stuff like that is that kind of person in every circle that is never him or herself to any extent, but copies trends/speech patterns/slang words/etc. off of everyone else around him or her.

And even more than that, people who take on certain ideals/sets of beliefs to be cool or "to be different" (for example, the numerous kids who use the Anarchy symbol like some sort of gang sign, but have little to know clue what Anarchism really is). You're all being different the same way, get over your obsessions with other people, and be yourself. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of us actually become much more widely accepted by our peers when we actually be ourselves.
