Actually, his points are highly flawed.
First of all... Visionary was never warned or 'slapped' in any way shape or form.
Second, it was THWIP* - the thread starter - and you who were warned. Hardly one-sided... YOU were the one who felt you shouldn't have been. TWHIP* stopped, you didn't.
Stopped what? His posts before and after remained insulting. Show me where I made an insult toward ANYONE that didn't attack me first.
And THWIP in his later posts makes it clear- he doesn't want anyone who disagrees with him posting in his thread. Is this okay as far as forum rules?
Also, in an above post there's a listing of the insulting posts. None of which you did anything About other than to loop myself and THWIP into the same category, even though I hadn't at that point fired any insults at him, even in response to insults to me. So yeah, that was pretty one-sided. and I only resorted to the insulting posts because i saw that you intened to do nothing about them. I'm patient, but I'm no shrinking violet.
and my commending Pagrebo wasn't regarding the accuracy of every point, but that at least he, unlike you, saw who was actually being unfair in this whole thing. Regardless, this is a discussion board.
Third, as has been explained REPEATEDLY over the years (including just the other day), the Spoilers thread is not restricted to spoilers. The logic of those who think that is 180 degrees from reality. According to Mirko, spoilers is considered the 'main' thread for the film. It can contain non-spoiler material. Non-spoilers exists as a courtesy to those who wish to remain as unspoiled as possible.
Bascially, any thread appropriate for non-spoilers could be posted in the spoilers area, but the reverse, any thread appropriate for the spoilers area may not be appropriate in the non-spoilers area.
Daisy- When in ANY of my posts did I say that THWIP should not have started the thread? I said it was BS in the sense that it had nothing directly to do with Spider-Man 3- and that the title was misleading because it suggested something that the content didn't back up. A guy in a black spandex outfit- that's clearly based on Spider-Man's, doing acrobatics does not hint at how Spider-Man and Venom will look in action. Spawn or any other character in a black suit does as much. But I never said it should be closed or that he didn't have a right to start it. And my initial post that got the ball rolling was nothing more than a comment stressing my OPINION- that Venom and Spider-Man wouldn't look like Mercury Man.
Finally, my concerns about the film one way or another have nothing to do with this. I don't really care how Venom looks. I'm not, nor have I ever been, a Venom fan.
Yeah, but my questioning you on this isn't about whether or not you're a fan of Venom. Neither am I. The point is do you think as THWIP alleges- that Sony/Columbia is going to give us something resembling the very lo-budget effects of Mercury Man?
