This May Be Your Show, But This Is MY Wrestling Thread! - Part 242

Man, those tix need to go on sale already. And hopefully Cole, Dijak and O'Reilly will be there by then.

Those three will add some depth to NXT. I might be reaching, but at Takeover Events, there is usually someone in attendance so we might see one of those three at Takeover: Chicago. There's always a surprise at Takeover. Takeover: San Antonio didn't have any in-ring debuts but it had an appearance from Seth Rollins and Triple H.

The current champ, Naomi. Whether you like her or not, she's a solid worker and actually over with the crowd. I agree that it's Charlotte's time to put over the reigning champ. It's not like she won't get opportunities in the future.
Yeah, she seemed over with the crowd when fighting Charlotte, when they were all but dead for her. The same crowd that ended the show calling for Becky. :funny:

So by the time NXT has Takeover: Brooklyn III, these talents could be in NXT by then:

- Adam Cole
- Crazzy Steve
- Donovan Dijak
- Gunner
- Lio Rush
- Kyle O'Reilly

To go along with Drew McIntyre, Alestair Black, Bobby Roode, Hideo Itami, Roderick Strong and #DIY. That's an insane amount of talent.

There is a lot of talent there.

Also Gunner is there too.

Here's my take on Jinder's push:

- Even if Orton puts him over at Backlash and he becomes WWE Champion, there's no guarantee he's a main eventer forever even if he runs through AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura. If he beats all of those guys, it does not make a main eventer as his push could be derailed if he loses clean to John Cena when Cena comes back and there's no guarantee Cena would put him over. When Cena loses clean though, it's a special moment. I wasn't upset that AJ lost the title to Cena at the Royal Rumble, because Cena had already lost to AJ clean at Summerslam 2016. What I was upset about is that Cena's reign should have been longer, even if we had to go through Cena vs. Orton 1,000.

Somehow, people are forgetting this: Even if Orton puts Jinder over at Backlash, that does not make him a legit main eventer as we don't even know how Cena feels about the guy.

If they really want the Jindar push to be "real", he needs to hold the title for at least 6-8 months with credible wins over Styles, Orton, Owens, Zayn and eventually Cena.

Have him really build up his faction and be a threat throughout Smackdown. Keep the Bollywood Boys with him (maybe even win the tag titles at some point), give him a bodyguard enforcer (maybe use Erik Rowan in that role) and a female superstar at his side (Eva Marie would be perfect in that role).

Basically, give him the push Bray Wyatt SHOULD have had.

Eva Marie is not coming back.

And Cena could easily derail his push.

So which of the 2,000 movies he has coming up is he promoting?

I like him as an actor, in fact he's one of my favorite actors. But I fear people will get tired of him being in every damn movie.

You know something dr. I'm not sure but I get the feeling you think cena may factor into the whole jinder thing

I do because if they want to push Jinder to the moon after he's done with Orton (and if Orton puts him over), there's nobody better than Cena. Cena did it to AJ at Summerslam 2016. Cena didn't have to do that to AJ but he did. However it depends on if Cena wants to put Jinder over. It doesn't matter if Jinder beats Orton, and then Styles, Owens, Zayn and Nakamura. It matters a whole lot if in the process of his rise to the main event scene Cena puts him over. Cena could put him over or completely derail his push.

Ok. Let's do a mental exercise for the sake of argument. Let's say Jinder beats all those guys and Cena decides to put him over. Cena jobs to Jinder. Then, what? I mean it may draw in more Bali fans, which is the only reason I can see WWE doing it. But who does Jinder drop the strap to?

Knowing the WWE, Roman Reigns.

I wouldn't want Styles back in the world title scene until next January so I wouldn't mind a Jinder run. Honestly, I like that Smackdown has been ambitious with pushing Jinder and Breezango. I wouldn't have seen those coming from a mile away.

There is no reason for Jinder to have the title, other then to lose it to Nakamura or AJ.

Smackdown is the brand where anyone can have a run. Heath Slater got a tag team championship, James Ellsworth got a WWE contract, Bray Wyatt won a championship and Naomi Won a championship.

I think 'the land of opportunity' concept keeps things unpredictable and fresh.

I am not sure how to describe that name because 'HORRIBLE' falls short.

I don't watch Smackdown, due to lack of availability. So I have a question just how over is Jinder?
