actually i have a correction from my previous post, looks like BO has a good track record in reporting new trailers. The april 2nd teaser was from a random website.
Since the trailer is coming out pretty early compared to the teaser, i don't expect that many new shots, but anything new footage related is welcome.

July 5:th seems very early for a second trailer for a movie that comes out in November. But hey, who's complaining?

I can see it being that though because The Lone Ranger is probably going to be big for Disney, so perfect to show off more Thor since Iron Man 3 has passed. Disney's gotta help keep Marvel going strong!

There's two and a half months in between this trailer and the teaser, I'm sure it's going to have alot of new shots. Thor:TDW wrapped up filming at the beginning of this year, they have plenty of stuff tailer ready.

I just want to add that some folks who post on the BO forums have contacts in the film industry of various kinds, so they regularly get legitimate info about film projects. One person there spilled the details about IM3's "twist" way back in March, well before it was confirmed by anyone else. That, along with their track record of announcing trailers before anyone else, is why I believe this particular bit of info.

yes but the movie doesn't come out until Nov, which is like 4 and half months away. IM3 only had two trailers with one coming out late October and the final one in March. Unless they plan to release more than 2 trailers, July 5th seems pretty early

You're right, I think it's safe to say his film is gonna have atleast 3 trailers since the 2nd comes out so early. I think Marvel wants Thor:TDW to be as big as possible and to keepthe hype going they're gonna promote this even harder than IM3.

Plus it's their first fall film so that's another reason they might be marketing this so hard. It could even be because the sheer scale of this film can handle 3 trailers without spoiling much like MOS. :woot:

Don't forget that IM3 also had a Super Bowl spot in early February, which acted somewhat like a second trailer in terms of Disney/Marvel's marketing campaign for the movie. I definitely think a trailer in July would be the second of three trailers for this movie.

ya but marvel has bin following their marketing plan pretty strictly until disney showed up. I personally don't think Lone Ranger is the best place to put new Thor trailer but any new footage to me is awesome.

I thought MoS was surprisingly not that spoilery with the first trailers, even the third trailer was really good.
IM3 had a lot of spoilers in the second trailer once one has watched the movie. It is pretty standard these days that the second theatrical trailer usually spoils everything. I am quite stoked for some money shots in this new trailer, which the teaser was missing a lot of.

Yeah the MOS trailers did a great job of showing the scale of the film without spoiling much, I hope T:TDW's are the same. The teaser for MOS had far less money shots than the T:TDW teaser so it's not a big deal, I'm sure the new trailer will have plenty.

Trailer new Thor 2 released next week.
Bad grammar, or do you experience events throughout past, present and future simultaneously like Dr. Manhattan? I'm going to go with bad grammar. But if it's the latter, please don't disintegrate me!

MIGHT be a bad Translator SM ever think of that? :cwink: We DO have people from all over the world here. As if you hadn't noticed Marvel SKE is from Japan but started posting in the Avengers threads.
By the way SKE, have you seen any pics on Tadanobu Asano yet? I haven't seen anything yet.

Welcome Aboard Alex!!

Yeah yeah yeah... bad grammar from a bad translator is still bad grammar =P

Still, interesting that the first two posts from this guy reveal trailer release dates for T:TDW and CA:TWS without citing sources. International secrets, I guess?

SDCC isn't that far off, and Lone Ranger (july 3rd) is due out where the new trailer is supposed to be attached.
