For me it's always demons and/or possession. I lived in two haunted houses when I was younger and took part in a house exorcism when I was 19 (me and two friends were running a church revival in Boise, Idaho at the time). Some creepy stuff happened that night. Anyway... that stuff has always kept me fascinated with the paranormal.

Heh... it probably doesn't help that my wife and I tend to listen to ghost podcasts as we lay down to sleep at night. :)

The thing is though, I don't mind them. Yes, they often freak me out as the dream is going on, but I love them once I've woken up. The paranormal thing doesn't freak me out like it used to. The possession ones still get me though.

Other than those... I sometimes have nightmares where my daughters die or go missing, or that I catch my wife in an affair... things like that. Those freak me out WAY more than the demon ones, but they don't happen near as often.

After watching so many of those ghost shows I am scared to buy another house, especially if its super cheap for no apparent reason, lol. :p

Yeah, I was gonna say, that's WAY scarier than any demon.

I'll go on on a limb (is that the right idiom?) and assume some of y'all wanna have a delicious comfy snugly nap right now.

This would be me, but I have an excuse -- I had a stomach bug yesterday. I'm better now, but I feel wiped. :p

I had a terrible dream the other day that somebody cut my elbow with a cheese grater and it left a goregous perfectly round wound. It was so painful tho. The wound was real deep. I remember it perfectly

That's long enough Aziz, have another one, it's like a trip to the future!

I used to dream of being burned with lava, but it was very liquid and clear, like melted glass, and purple.

I had no idea how lava actually works ha.

Elon Musk invents a flamethrower. It's only $600. Awesome! I want one for my birthday. Time to fire up the grill!

Alright... Let's get em' out there people...

What are the reoccurring themes and images in your most unsettling nightmares?

For me it's small spaces, being buried alive and oddly enough... Poisonous sea creatures of varying kinds.

i dream about tidal waves a lot. driving and not being able to brake without using every ounce of strength i can to get the car to stop.

i dream of recurring places that i've never been, but know them like the back of my hand. one of these places has a room that's been locked up for years. not necessarily a nightmare there, but i dream of these places a lot.

stuff like that

I have the most mundane nightmares. My most reoccurring one is about being late to something. Back when I was in school, I'd constantly have nightmares about being late for class and missing a test or something, and now I have them about being late for work or forgetting about a really important meeting and being fired.

When I was a little kid though, like 5 or 6 years old, I had a reoccuring nightmare in which I would be sitting with my parents watching a Transformers cartoon on TV (they were divorced by this time, so already an unlikely scenario), and one of the Transformers climbed out of the TV and chased me around the house while my parents just sat on the couch and didn't care, lol. I had that one several times for some reason.

Reoccurring theme?
The ones that feel so real before I wake up to find out I've never been in that situation before
or I could end up in that situation today yet obviously don't.

It's not even tragic or traumatic scenarios.

I never have any nightmares really of myself in any danger or anything like that, but when I normally have nightmares, it is people I know and love in some type of danger. I think the last time I ever woke up myself from a nightmare about me was a home invasion nightmare, but I wasn't the only one in the dream in danger.

so i bought a storage space, paid up until april. i think i just want to fill it up with as much as i can and just reclean the whole house, starting upstairs and working my way down

Sounds like a big job. :(

it really is, but long overdue. i'd really like to put in new carpet and repaint. my parents said they're leaving me this house one day.
the house needs a lot of work, and i wonder if it's more cost-productive to just build a new one rather than fix everything that needs repair lol

at the very least, these are small cosmetic things that could improve

Sometimes you're better off with what you know, as in fixing rather than building which can be a royal pain. :(

Because The Last Jedi failed to make money in China, the Han Solo movie will drop the Star Wars title in China and will simply be called Ranger Solo.

Makes sense. China never got into Star Wars. They never had the originals released in theaters so their first exposure on a wide scale was the prequels, and if anything can turn a whole country off a brand, it's those prequels, lol.

People of China will love the pirate for a ranger.

I don't care that he delivers cargo, cargo delivery crew in Alien Resurrection are pirates.

Maybe they can recut the film to remove all the Star Wars references, sell the whole thing as some weird live-action anime thing. Maybe then the communists will love them.

Gamestop has a $130 trade in value for my old PS4 today, so i'm planning to go take it in. of course, now i can't find it anywhere smh
