Watched this last night and enjoyed it, it was visually very well executed and the story was somewhat different from anything else I've seen in a long time.
Elba was fantastic in the role, however I struggled to believe in the chemistry between him and Tilda Swinton's character - I felt like she was miscast in the role. I get that they were probably banking on her inherent eccentricity/slightly androgynous traits lending themselves to the belief that her character is somewhat of a loner who sits outside of normal social circles, but I think this came at the cost of making her difficult to relate to - and to believe in her rapport with the Djinn.
Still, enjoyed the historical bits greatly and the overall production. 7/10 for me.
