a 33-year-old Las Vegas showgirl who can do incredible things with mirrors.

I'm still not sure what her powers are,but i think it will be some kind of alter ego thing.Could "break loose" later in the season and cause havoc and she'd get the blame(cliche, but it could work).

Based on the position of the characters in this shot, it seems as if the Ali Larter character and the Leonard Roberts character may have been a couple, and their child is the Noah Gray-Cabey character (who appears to be of mixed heritage).

If so, will he be a second generation 'hero' with two 'hero' parents?

i think i once knew a las vegas showgirl who could do incredible things with mirrors... and ping-pong balls... no one ever called her a superhero though :(:o

Isn't she 30 playing the mother of a 12 year old.Not talking about the character talking about the actress maybe they should have found a older actress.

uh.............have we never heard of teenage pregnancies?

I don't think she's particularly young to be playing the character. It says that Niki is 33. Thirty isn't that far off at all. Now if she were 25, I might argue.

ali's pretty hot. pretty and hot

i'm guessing her character has some sort of alter ego through the mirror. i just hope they don't go all jean grey on her. i mean like i said in another post, i'll keep an open mind, but that would be way too close to x-men.

haha, silly HC! teens dont have sex! :)

I did.............but that's because I was a gay teen at an all boys school.

In all seriousness though I saw the short version of the trailer and I'm still a little confused about what her abilities were exactly.

*****SPOILERS BELOW*****

Through out the episode Ali's charecter (I can't remember her name at the moment) get's skidish when she looks at herself in a mirror. And at first her reflection is just that, a reflection. But as the episode moves along you start noticing that it is moving independently of Ali and finally it starts to miming things to her. In the finale of the episode, Ali is being held by a couple of men that she owes a large sum of money too and they end up making her strip for them and other less than scummy things as the scene switches to another charecter. When it switches back, Ali is waking up in the same room only to show that both men are dead and the room is bathed in blood. Before Ali leaves she looks into a broken looking glass as her reflection mimes "Shh". Now my question is: Did her mirror twin come out and do the killing herself or or did she take over Ali's body altogether? And is her reflection a sort of "evil twin" or just a seperate and stronger personality?

So that's what I have to say about that, lol. Tell me what you all think.

I'm confused about that too! I just watched the pilot yesterday. I can't wait for it to officially air!
Maybe she learns to "control" her evil twin in later episodes? So far, her powers is probably the biggest mystery... Can't wait!

That's a DAMN shame - Heroes, promoting the awesomeness of strippers everywhere!

Way I see it: She has a form of multiple pesonality disorder, but she has some weird psychic ability that enables her other personality to effect the real world. Maybe not coming to life, but perhaps something like a poltergeist.

I think it'd be cool if she married a vampire!

This whole alter ego thing, is she suppose to have hulk like powers, where she turns into some sadistic person and then turn back into her regular self?

No. As I said above. I think she has multiple personality disorder, and because of some psychic abilities, her other personality can effect the real world.

Last night Ep 4 we actually saw her alter ego in action. It appears another consciousness altogether takes over her body and is very protective of Niki and the boy.

IMHO Ali Larter would make a fine Wonder Woman.

I don't think she has superpowers. For anyone who's familiar w/ Xenogears on PS1 Best RPG 1998, the main character fei had an alter ego that loved to kill people. It was later revealed in the game that he had been severly abused as a child and that's what triggered his subconscious to create an alternate fei to pick up the slack everytime discomfort came his way. So the new fei would only know that the world is full of people who kill steal and hurt people. Thats why he wanted to destroy the world.

Same thing with piccolo from Dragonball.

" I will destroy all those who were full of hypocracy from the very begining."

She does have superpowers, Chosen1 - her alter ego doesn't only like killing people, but has super strength. Remember in yesterday's episode - her friend says it totally couldn't have been her because it would have been physically impossible for her to rip guys in half.

Personally, I think the nickname people have been calling her on the Hype sums her up quite nicely: Stripper Hulk.

All hail The Stripper Hulk!

I think there's interesting potential for her character. She evidently has superhuman strengh and agility, ala Hulk, as noted by some. I on't think the 2 realities will merge, since I prefer to see a rage character.

Now Niki has gotten interesting. Finally got to see her alter ego take over, as well some of that skin. :O
