TMNT Generation/MMPR Generation

MMPR owned my childhood - even when I was absolutely tired of it, it still haunted me in my sleep - calling for me to don my Red Ranger costume and kill Ivan Ooze.

I think thats why it hasn't been cancelled yet! Every time a network head wants to pull the plug something commands it to keep it on the air for another 10 years! :o

Maybe not respect, but I liked you. Now I don't know what to think, man! Beetleborgs was pretty lame!

MMPR SUCKS!!! I hated that show since the first time i saw it on tv. I love TMNT. Anyway i dont think that MMPR is big enough to qualify as a generation. It wasn´t that succesful was it?
Well, PR is still going so I would call that sucessful.

Yes, but its one of television's greatest mysteries as to why its still on! The show doesn't even get good ratings! I think Disney just keeps it on to sell toys! Remember PR is based on a Japanese sentai. All they have to do is change the Japanese logo and just sell the toys.

Beetleborg? LAWL!

It's all about the Masked Rider!!!!!!!!!

Beetleborgs was ****ty. And they replaced the lead girl in the lamest way.

Hell -- let's throw in VR Troopers for that matter!

You know all that stuff the internet says abou tabout childhood's being raped... I didn't believe it until you guys bashed my beetleborgs...

*sniffle*

The release of the new Ninja Turtles movie has sparked a debate I never thought I would have in my life. I consider both TMNT and the Power Rangers two big shows of my childhood. Yet, there's apparently a Ninja Turtles generation and a MMPR generation. To begin with, what exactly qualifies you to be either of these or both?

TMNT was very popular from `87/88 till about 1992. So, a lot of kids from various ages got a chance to enjoy those characters in their prime! The Power Rangers had a really strong first season, but in the following season when they got rid of Jason, Zack, & Trini and Tommy was turned into the White Ranger the show began to slowly go downhill. Which is perhaps why the movie in `95 didn't make as much money as everyone expected. The first TMNT movie in 1990 was like the third highest grossing film of the year. The MMPR movie was like #15.

Ratings-wise, Power Rangers, was HUGE during season one. It did pretty good during its 2nd, then decently during its 3rd and Zeo. Then in `97 both the Turbo movie and show pretty much killed the Power Rangers. The Ninja Turtles on the other hand were HUGE for about 5 straight years! So, there's definitely a TMNT generation and many kids are part of that generation. Yet, its debatable whether there really is a MMPR generation and who exactly qualifies as one!
Either way, the Turtles are better.

Worst decision they ever made. In fact, Peter Laird and Kevin something both regret that Next Mutation show.
You mean Kevin Eastman.

i remember both, power rangers more vividly but both were part of my childhood

So was MMPR:yay:

But gay in a good way! :)

X-men TAS was horrible

:cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

I grew up with both. TMNT was huge when I was really young and then I got into Power Rangers. I had nearly all the action figures from both. Power Rangers rocked until about the Ivan Ooze phase...then it sucked.
