I love this photo. The actor played Death on Supernatural. Can't wait to see how this all turns out.

1. This is an AMAZING image. I'd buy it, frame it, and hang it on my wall.

Speculation-- but like his face with the white lights being credited to All-Star Superman, this Superman on top of the train through a building concept art is credit to Superman: Last Son. I can't find the image online, but it's from when Superman gets back to Metropolis and sees all the destruction.

I love that image as well. I feel like the design was ripped right out of Byrne's Man of Steel miniseries:

Jor-El.jpg

It seems like a hybrid of what Jor-El and Lara are wearing, with a little bit of Time Lord thrown in.

The costume designers really must have had their work cut out for them! This all looks exstremely beautiful and stylish. It has the word "classic" written all over it.

Firstly, love him as Death in Supernatural, as a council member I'm guessing there's some gravitas to the role which he could definitely bring.

Secondly, the guy doesn't just look old, he looks slightly odd, in a really distinctive way, which I wonder is intentional, since it sells the idea that these are an alien race rather nicely. It's also what makes me think Mackenize Gray could be a Kryptonian. Both of them have such unusual faces.

I posted this is another thread, but just in case anyone missed it the first time around..

"The Man of Steel IMDb page has Apollonia Vanova playing the female Kryptonian, Nadira, who in the comic books used her psychokinetic abilities to commit crimes and was sentenced to the Phantom Zone. Nadira was also a sleeper agent on Earth for Zod.

More than likely Nadira is a member of Zod's crew in the Phantom Zone in the Man of Steel as well.

Vanova joins Antje Traue, another female Kryptonian, who plays the psychopath known as Faora.

I don't believe any pictures have surfaced of Apollonia Vanova as Nadira, but we did see that pic of Zod going to the Phantom Zone in trailer #3 that revealed a batch of Kryptonians (below). Perhaps Nadira is off camera in that picture.

Apollonia Vanova is a Canadian artist, originally from Czechoslovakia, who is an accomplished singer and actress who recently released a new album and appeared in Julien Magnat's Faces in the Crowd, and the CBC hit comedy TV series Insecurity.

Check out the official site of Apollonia Vanova for more from the actress."

You may also recognize her as Silhouette from Watchmen.

Everything I've seen relating to Krypton in this movie has been totally striking and memorable - I must say, I wasn't overly stoked about using Zod as a villain when it was first announced, but it seems Goyer and Snyder are using him as a excellent excuse to open up the Krypton worldbuilding/backstory, and I couldn't be happier about that. (Fingers crossed that's the case, of course.)

Great pic! Reminds me of another advanced race with an impossibly long history...

Timelords anyone?

Hehe, didn't you read my description of what that looked like to me? :woot:

Hum the pic with Lois and Clark with a cap disturbed me... They met each other. She knows him as Clark without glasses?

Curious, why does it disturb you? And the current belief is that in MOS's take, Lois will know that Clark and Superman are one in the same much earlier on.

There is a similarity. It is likely enough that, working in the mid 80s, John Byrne might have been influenced by Dr Who.

I'd say that there is definite cross-pollination between Doctor Who and Superman. One needs only compare the capital city on Gallifrey with the Bottled City of Kandor.

Agreed, agreed, agreed. Julian Richings has the perfect demeanor for a Council member. And that headdress is crazy.

Not to mention it confirms (to my delight!! :awesome:) that we'll hear Kryptonian in the film.
