One thing about the symbol this time around is they definitely modernized it and have it a twist with the "3D" texture to it on the S with those "lines" going through it, but of course kept the classic shape and just overall symbol. I really enjoy the design aspect for this movie. From the symbol to the suit, it really makes a statement of what they're aiming for.

Couldn't agree more, I'm very impressed with the logo & how they've somewhat modernised it, hense my avatar. Defiantly going to be buying that keychain when I find it online.

It would appear that the photo that came from the NY Times has been removed....I don't see it anywhere on their website

Huh, could it have been a fanmade manip? Hence the odd pose and take down.

Well it certainly does look like something a fan made. Like they basically just took Superman and slapped him on some crappy destruction filled background. But then again, would the NYTimes be so stupid as to take that photo and run with it thinking it's legit? That is if in fact it is fan made...

anyone know where I can buy one of the latest posters?
the one with the big shield where he's flying straight up

can't you just make your own? Print it out and go to KINKOS or some place like that and make it larger

that 's the way the psoter is 39.99$ on amazon because there are sellers who print the HQ picture and sell it to ignorant buyers

question : the pics of the art book is from what kind of soruce? the art book is already released? From the author ?

Many times they won't do that because of Copyright Infringement laws. They could be fined pretty substantially if they were to be caught. Unless you know someone in one of those stores, I wouldn't chance it.

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but is there a reason given as to why Superman's suit is blue, red, and yellow? Everyone else from Krypton appears to be wearing plain black.

I think Jor-El's suit is blue. Under that gold like colored armor.

I think the rumor is that [BLACKOUT] Jor-El's suit is from modern times from kyrpton. The suit Superman wears is from the 18 thousand year old scout ship that his ancestors had on their ship(the crashed scout ship aka the fortress). It was from a bright, vibrant, and exploratory time in kryptons history. Where Jor-El's suit is very indicitive of the civil wars and hard times they are now dealing with. Superman gets his suit from the fortress ship and it's from a loooooooooooooong time ago when they had lots of hope and that shows through their style of clothing.[/BLACKOUT]

Interesting! Thanks.

jor el suit is blue. Remember those pics of Russell Crowe in costume smoking. It was blue. Whether the colour was muted post production is another thing

Yeah, his suit is blue, but his cape, chest symbol and boots are all duller, earthier colours, which gives an overall darker and more muted appearance.

Yeah, and that rumour is actually my speculation, now largely confirmed by the art book. :woot:
