This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]365557[/split]
Yeah. Those actors have done fun movies and were getting started at one point! How can anyone take them seriously? Could you imagine if Michael Shannon had appeared in something like Let's Go To Prison or Kangaroo Jack? Or if Henry Cavill showed up in some lame direct-to-video sequel to a slasher series like Hellraiser? You'd never see Amy Adams in something with muppets or a Will Ferrell vehicle.
Also, Adams was in Tenacious D too.
i find it funny what you wrotte since both Crowe,Fishburne and Shannon are doing this movie for the paycheck and exposure.
its always the same story. 12 months before the movie opens fanboys are talking how their oscar actor likes the script and thats why he signed on. after the movie is out and its bad they change theier opinion. it was the same with GL. and if MOS is bad it will be the same on this forum. it was the same with Kevin Spacey. fanboy's opinon about Spacey in SR changed from 2005 to 2006.
dont even try to act like its not the same. i am reading this forum since 2005. i know how this works on SHH. t:
Everything you've said in this post is all the reasons why I'm so pumped for this movie and intriguedBut the other actors mentioned from Green Lantern have yet to leave the Tenacious D movies and Hellraisers. These guys today are Oscar caliber actors. One attracted to a Superman movie, I could see it, but so many Oscar nominees including Nolan being involved? Doesn't that indicate that this is not going to be some generic superhero movie to you?
I've been on this forum for a long time too. I've been here since the Nicholas Cage and giant spider days. But I was never excited about Kevin Spacey or Langela. I am excited about this movie though because if Nolan is involved and it seems to be getting together the same caliber of actors that got together for Batman Begins and he has been talking about realism and setting Superman in todays world. That combined with Amy Adams signing on, and
Michael Shannon, and Fishburne and Crowe who seems to be so particular about his roles, and like I said, even Jodie Foster auditioning for Lara, this
makes sense. And this is far from my point as well now because you guys are
trying to say they have been in crap too, and all actors have been in crap, but
when was the last time so many good actors guided by Nolan were in crap? In
fact, when was the last time Nolan was involved in crap?
And my original point is, why would these guys be interested in being involved in a generic superhero movie? As soon as the beard came out Kuro and TruertotheCore started commenting on that it is another Batman movie, a
generic angst filled superhero movie that is not really Superman, and my point
was, why would a generic superhero movie attract Nolan, with Snyder, and
Adams, Shannon, Crowe, Fishburne and even have Jodie Foster interested in
the part? When was the last time all those guys were interested in a generic
superhero movie? Scratch that, when was the last time just Crowe was
interested in a superhero movie, especially one where he wouldn't be the lead?
Lara outfit sucks!!!!
would not have made a bad lois...
