Yeah. Those actors have done fun movies and were getting started at one point! How can anyone take them seriously? Could you imagine if Michael Shannon had appeared in something like Let's Go To Prison or Kangaroo Jack? Or if Henry Cavill showed up in some lame direct-to-video sequel to a slasher series like Hellraiser? You'd never see Amy Adams in something with muppets or a Will Ferrell vehicle. :o

Also, Adams was in Tenacious D too.

But the other actors mentioned from Green Lantern have yet to leave the Tenacious D movies and Hellraisers. These guys today are Oscar caliber actors. One attracted to a Superman movie, I could see it, but so many Oscar nominees including Nolan being involved? Doesn't that indicate that this is not going to be some generic superhero movie to you?

i find it funny what you wrotte since both Crowe,Fishburne and Shannon are doing this movie for the paycheck and exposure.

its always the same story. 12 months before the movie opens fanboys are talking how their oscar actor likes the script and thats why he signed on. after the movie is out and its bad they change theier opinion. it was the same with GL. and if MOS is bad it will be the same on this forum. it was the same with Kevin Spacey. fanboy's opinon about Spacey in SR changed from 2005 to 2006.

dont even try to act like its not the same. i am reading this forum since 2005. i know how this works on SHH. :yay::woot:

I've been on this forum for a long time too. I've been here since the Nicholas Cage and giant spider days. But I was never excited about Kevin Spacey or Langela. I am excited about this movie though because if Nolan is involved and it seems to be getting together the same caliber of actors that got together for Batman Begins and he has been talking about realism and setting Superman in todays world. That combined with Amy Adams signing on, and Michael Shannon, and Fishburne and Crowe who seems to be so particular about his roles, and like I said, even Jodie Foster auditioning for Lara, this makes sense. And this is far from my point as well now because you guys are trying to say they have been in crap too, and all actors have been in crap, but when was the last time so many good actors guided by Nolan were in crap? In fact, when was the last time Nolan was involved in crap?

And my original point is, why would these guys be interested in being involved in a generic superhero movie? As soon as the beard came out Kuro and TruertotheCore started commenting on that it is another Batman movie, a generic angst filled superhero movie that is not really Superman, and my point was, why would a generic superhero movie attract Nolan, with Snyder, and Adams, Shannon, Crowe, Fishburne and even have Jodie Foster interested in the part? When was the last time all those guys were interested in a generic superhero movie? Scratch that, when was the last time just Crowe was interested in a superhero movie, especially one where he wouldn't be the lead?

It's okay if the periphery cast is doing it simply for the green. As long as the leads give a s***. And of course, the director must give a s***.

Everything you've said in this post is all the reasons why I'm so pumped for this movie and intrigued

Ayelet Zurer arriving on set (from movienewz):

:hehe: She looks adorable.

Ayelet Zurer is pretty and makes cute expressions. Love her dark wavy hair. Crowe as wavy hair as well. So that's where Kal-El gets it.

I'm still excited at the possibility of Superman having to deal with villains that require CGI for their appearances, since it would definitely be somewhat of a first in Superman films.

I mean, I'm just assuming of course that these villains don't have humanoid like appearances, since while it was shown that Michael Shannon wore a motion capture suit, we saw how there were other individuals who were wearing motion capture suits a well who obviously weren't Michael, and I doubt that they're his stunt double.

For the longest time, I've wished to see Superman take on a scary looking and fearsome opponent, and due to the fact that we've never seen that on film really (unless you count that cyber woman from SIII) and that television shows don't have the budget to properly show one as well..this would be the first time we get something with proper production value placed into it.

remember months ago when we talked why Zod is in the movie? and when we almost all agreed that there is a big chance that Zod is the villain because they wouldnt need expensive CGI for an alien villain?

so we have an old villain from the Donner movies(AGAIN) and a CGI monster or alien whatever. so they will pay a lot of money for all 3 villains.

juhuuuuuuuuuuuuu again 10 years waiting for Brainiac or any new villain. juhuuuuuu WB

similar tu jupi?

its a frozen pizza from antartica

So you sentence means 'frozen pizza from the antarctic again 10 years waiting for Brainiac or any new villain. Frozen pizza from the antarctic WB' ?

Yeah... Still not getting it I'm afraid  :hehe:

That would be one seriously frozen pie.

It's meant to be 'yaaaahooooo.'

Okay, the yahooo thing makes sense (juhuuu is just a weird mispelling of yahoo)... except I still don't understand what that's got to do with pizza from the antarctic

I wish they would release another official pic. I don't care of who; Zod or Jor El or a second Superman... Lois even.
