I think that it's only a matter of time before we actually see HC on set in the suit. We are experiencing the start of something wonderful, people. I don't even remember being this excited back when Superman Returns was being made. I liked SR a lot, but even I admit that it was extremely flawed. However, back during the production I was so excited that we were getting a new Superman movie, but I definitely didn't fee like this.

Same. It's like there isn't a single part that i'm not excited to see.

We still have first sight of Cavill with glasses, first sight of Cavill on set in costume, first sight of Amy Adams on set (and what colour her hair will be), Diane Lane, Julia Ormond, Fishburne, Shannon, Lennix, Meloni, Traue and of course Russel Crowe. We have the first look of what Krypton will look like, what baby Kal-el's spaceship will look like, what Metropolis will look like, what the Daily Planet building will look like, what the DP office will look like, what Jor-el, Zod and Faora will wear. We still don't know if all the casting is done. Could be waiting on Jimmy, Lana and of course LEX! (hopefully).

I'm looking forward to Immortals, and Cold Light of Day. I'm looking forward to next years SDCC. I'm looking forward to more official images of absolutely every single member of the cast. I'm looking forward to any minute plot leaks that are sure to come throughout the 2 year waiting period we face.

And then teasers! And then full trailers! And then THE MOVIE!

Latest update via MOS 2012 facebook ... Apparently the trailer for the movie is being shot ....

Superman: Man of Steel (2013)
The new info for filming is this: Mon 8/15 for movie trailer footage 1pm-8pm in Plano & the streets will be closed and simultaneious shooting of hospital scenes in Sandwich on Pleasant. Plano tentavely extended filming 8/22-9/2 w/ the helicopter scenes on 8/25 and backup heliciopter scenes on 8/27, D'town Chicago 9/9-9/11 for exterior shots, crew and ppl that work in city said Superman, Zod and Faora will show up during Plano filming. Ok, that about covers it.

Well it probably will. Why else set it in Plano, IL of all places. They are probably going to be using a lot of what is already there, except for the things that are going to get destroyed.

The most open shooting I remember from 'Superman Returns' was when Clark/Brandon ran out of the bar into the street and was among all the extras.

btw it looks like the scene with Henry in a harness involves that bridge in the photo above.

but didn't Singer also spend a ****load of money growing "fake corn" in New Zealand ( where they filmed Smallville, I think )?

maybe it's really a combined super-breath blast from Zod and Faora that's strong enough to creat tornado force winds??

It depends on if they're taking this time in Plano to also shoot flashbacks as well as present day stuff. So it's confusing.

To be honest with you, I like the Superman character but I never read the comics except old ones that I found laying around when I was a kid and I liked the character. I saw the movies and then really liked the character but I could never get into the TV show. I didn't think based on what I knew about Superman that all that crap happened while he was just a teenager or that he was a "blur" or any of that. I liked the more traditional story. But if it felt like a suburb, I think that was probably because of the budget. I think Snyder would not have it seem like a suburb.

Awesome, Zod and Supes in Smallsville? I wonder if this is just for the trailer? Because man if they are planning on getting the marketing started off this December I'd be surprised I figured the first Teaser would be with TDKR now that its pushed back.

But if Zod does threaten Smallsville that should make for some awesome pissed off Supes.

LOL at IHOP. That right there might be a perfect example of why these movies cost so much. Instead of easily filming a scene at a real IHOP, they felt the need to go BUILD one.

Of course, if it gets destroyed or something, that's a different thing.

This is a real IHOP. This is not a fake one. The only thing that isn't real is the Tall IHOP sign which was brought in for the shoot.
