OK. Now I've become addicted to Marvel Masterwork books because I've just gone on a spending binge & have bought 11 books in a span of 2 days.

LOL. I wish. The lowest of them ran me about 19.99, the rarer ones went for about 34.99-59.99. I collect the variant ones.

I'm getting them in hardcover format. The older ones range in $100+ range. They're insanely priced, seriously.

I thought those books were fairly recent! Back in..February, I saw one of those that collected the first Avengers comics.

Well, I absolutely like the Sgt. Fury volume I bought & it has issues #14-23 & Annual #1. I also like the Daredevil which has issues 1-11 when he used the funky red/yellow costume.

Ah, I'm more into the trades and hardcovers of story arcs. Compilations are cool too. I'm finishing up Avengers: The Serpent Crown and might read the first volume of Clone next.

Damn dude. If I would have known I would have told you that talesofwonder.com had this really huge sale on Masterworks. We're talking 60% off in some cases. I ended up getting the Black Panther Masterworks for $35 as opposed to $65, but about three weeks later they had it for $25. lol Check them out if you haven't already. They have an eBay page too.

I think it's funny that most of them are coming from a guy with absolutely no notion of what feminism is and has made a number of threads addressing what he deems to be important social issues that are actually anything but.

It really is hilarious. He made a thread about Jesus, but didnt like what people were saying...so he made another Jesus thread.

Yeah, that got under my skin. While a Christian, I don't care for preachiness. The threat starter was definitely preachy, but I figure if good, Christianly conversation came out of it then awesome. By page 3 it was a huge argument about different views on Christianity. I made a comment about that being ridiculous and that if they want to start a Jesus thread they should probably behave better (or something of that nature) and I was rebuked. I skim it but I don't know how active I'll be in it.

Shame too, because there are some great Christian posters here and it'd be nice to have an uplifting thread. I just don't see it being that one.


I remember starting a "How Was Church Today" thread that was pretty cool for a while. No preaching... just talking about church, beliefs, etc. No debates or arguments. I liked that thread. I'd look it up but I might get yelled at for bringing up another religious thread

I avoid them as well, commenting sparingly even though I do have a sense of my own faith. I just try to stay out of the way.
