Tom Hardy and Ridley Scott team up for BBC historical thriller miniseries Taboo

Ahh... this show is so good.

I love how it can be weirdly funny in certain situations.

I accidentally spoiled myself that a female character was going to die this episode and that James would possibly be to blame for it, so I watched every scene between James and a female character with some tension. I didn't think it would be Winter, though! :csad: I thought her character had potential.

OTOH, I'm glad Thorne Geary is dead. I hated him, and not in a love to hate kinda way. Zilpha appears completely unhinged by now and I wonder what she's going to do next.

That scene when they were smuggling the gunpowder to the Americans was great. Maybe the best so far.

Taboo, the drama series from Tom Hardy and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, will officially return for a second season, it has been confirmed.

Commenting on the renewal, Hardy - who collaborated on the project with his father - said: “We are grateful and excited to continue our relationship with the BBC and FX in contributing towards British drama. Fantastic news.“

“We’re thrilled people want to know what happens next and that the BBC and FX are up for more adventures with the devil Delaney and the league of the damned,” added executive producer, Sir Ridley Scott.

Can't link to it because Hardy swears like a sailor, but there's an interview where he comments on historian academics complaining about the show and sounds kind of annoyed about it. Calls them whiners who don't actually do anything in their lives, as the mildest comment I can repeat here.

And here I was thinking how good Tommy was when promoting the show, so polite and mindful not to offend anyone :funny:

Yea he calls them whiners and tells them to get lives and says he doesn't "get" the academic thing because, according to him, they don't actually do anything.
