Tom Hiddleston is Loki

A good Loki's gotta be devious, cunning, and incredibly petty when his guard's down, as far as I'm concerned. If I could give suggestions to Branagh, I'd want him to read Robert Rodi and Esad Ribic's Loki mini-series and JMS' current take on him.

dunno if this was posted yet, but it gives a small taste of how tom is, he has great presence imo, and if you listen to what he's talking about, you'll love that he's probably somewhere reading into loki, between the lines, and even between those lines. amazing watch just 4 minutes, im hyped for loki.

Which one? Loki was a mini-series from a few years ago. JMS' run just ended on the current Thor series, but the series itself is still ongoing.

I saw Hiddleston on the BBC christams promos for Cranford his playing William Buxton.

Heres his characters description on the show.

Mr Buxton’s only child, William is bright and capable but, having dropped out of Cambridge when his mother fell terminally ill, he now struggles to find direction for himself without her gentle guidance. What is certain is that he has no interest in his father’s political ambitions for him. He’s far more excited by the technological and scientific advances of the modern age and engineering, in particular. But standing up to his formidable father and forging his own way will prove to be the greatest test to his character.

I watched Cranford, mainly just to see Tom Hiddleston. He did well with what was a pretty undemanding role, with definite hints of star quality.

Season 2 of Wallander starts in a few days over in the UK, maybe Hiddleston will get an expanded role in it. If not we may be going in pretty dry in terms of exposure to Hiddleston

Coipel's designs are great all around. The only thing I didn't like about his redesign for Loki is the fact that he has a loincloth-looking thing in the back but not in front. Looks a little awkward. Otherwise, though, that's a cool costume.

i wonder if the film will play into much of loki turning himself into a female look at all i seen in certain comic pages from time to time.

Probably not. That's fine for comics, but it'd mean hiring an actress and taking time away from Hiddleston for no particular reason. There was a specific reason for it in the comics.

All the Asgardians died a while back. Thor eventually came back and brought the others back as well, but Loki did a body-swap with Sif and basically wore her body while her spirit was trapped inside an old lady.
