Is Room 237 that bad? I saw where it was on Netflix.

Oh, it's bad. If you can laugh at the inane idiocy of the so called "theories" it may be a fun watch but it's almost two hours of people talking out of their ass and never really saying anything. They pose these ridiculous theories but never actually follow through with them. "This little insignificant thing here means THIS!"

Ok, WHY does it mean this? They never explain the why.

Oh yeah... I love anything Kubrick and they made the most boring, amateurish, useless doc I've ever seen. I've poured over Bob Ager's website; analysis of The Shinning and it just felt like these 'filmmakers' just stole everything and anything he ever said but without any rhyme or reason unlike what Ager originally did.

The way they handled some of the interviews were so bad and not all all professional, lost my respect real quick.

i was wondering if anyone else had even seen The Host and then i saw it in Kane's bottom ten there.

i'm no Stefanie Meyer fan but i actually...well, i don't want to say, "liked," but i didn't loathe this one. there were a few interesting concepts and Niccol and Ronan go a long way towards making it palatable. heckuva lot better than the Twilight movies.

yeah, the plot and character motivations are inconsistent and sometimes nonsensical and every element that makes you think, "oh, it's a sci-fi Twilight"--like the love triangle aspect--is annoying and distracting because of it, and i also found it hilarious that humanity's last rebel reserve is composed largely of male models...but, i dunno, i didn't hate it. and William Hurt gets to have a midget ponytail. probably a C+ type of movie for me.
