Top 10 Marvel Movies of the Decade!!!

FF doesn't need to be like TDK. But it would've been helped by being more like Iron Man(smart comedy put in at the right spots that doesn't betray the overall seriousness of the film). In fact , the Spider-man movies would've been helped to be that way too.

Yeah, what Fantastic Four lacked, which is because they wanted to remain completely kid friendly, was dark material. They had a little, but not enough, and they made the overall tone REALLY goofy at times. And people now-a-days don't like to much goofy with their superhero movies. Despite the fact that, it is that goofy in the comics people.

I'm going to just give a list of the Marvel Movies released in the last 10 years. I was wrong on stating that Iron Man 2 would count, because basically we are only talking about the ten years between 2000-2009, which is the decade. I'm also putting the % average of all those who put top 10. OUT OF 16 VOTERS!

TOP TEN AVERAGE
1. IRON MAN
2. SPIDER-MAN 2
3. X2: X-MEN UNITED
4. THE INCREDIBLE HULK
5. SPIDER-MAN
6. X-MEN
7. DAREDEVIL
8. BLADE 2
9. SPIDER-MAN 3
10. FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER

1. Iron Man-this film feels like a comic book film. it does a great job with keeping the origin straight and modernizing it to make it be able to look real on the big screen.

2. Incredible Hulk-this is what i expected from a hulk film, non stop action, plus with one of my favorite battle scenes out of the other marvel movies.

3. X-Men: The Last Stand- (everyone facepalms) yes, i loved this movie, why? because we got to see more x-men battles and action. yes they wasted characters, and the story wasn't as strong as X-2, but i really enjoyed this movie.

4. Spider-Man 3-this movie had a lot going on, which is why i liked it, yes, there were several scenes i cringed at, but overall, i enjoed the movie.

5. Spider-Man- this is one of the few that has that comic book feeling in the movie

6. Daredevil- i liked this movie because it was a darker superhero movie, plus had an awesome soundtrack

7. X2- great, strong story and cast, this is a superhero movie that put its own genre to a whole new level

8. Spider-Man 2- same as X2, great story, and scenes in it were awesome.

The fantastic four films were terrible imo, focused on being a comedy that was over the top cheesey

Never really got into the blade franchise...

You know I really liked X-men 3 as well, probably, because I don't mind the X-movies killing off characters, if it's done well. I thought Professor X's death was GREAT. Cyclopes death was...well yeah, he got caped, but his character wasn't going anywhere in that trilogy, you can thank Bryan Singer for that. And Jean Grey's death was expected, and they did a fine job with it. You are right, it had a LOT more action, which was cool. With how much story they were telling, I think they did a fine job. Much better then Spider-man 3 in my opinion.

Just to see what the Critics (rotten tomatoes) think compared to Fans.

TOP TEN AVERAGE
1. IRON MAN 93%
2. SPIDER-MAN 2 94%
3. X2: X-MEN UNITED 88%
4. THE INCREDIBLE HULK 66%
5. SPIDER-MAN 90%
6. X-MEN 81%
7. DAREDEVIL 44% (not DC)
8. BLADE 2 58%
9. SPIDER-MAN 3 62%
10. FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER 37%

Notes: X-men Last Stand has a 56%. Hulk has a 61%. Fantastic Four 26%.
Just to make note, Wolverine may not have been AMAZING, but it did not deserve the 36% that it got on Rotten Tomatoes, at least 50%. I really think if that movie wasn't released online, people would be thinking differently about it. Not to say it's anything GREAT, but it was pretty good, for cliche pop corn fun!

I disagree. Wolverine deserved that rating for sure. And if the movie had been any good to begin with then the leak simply would have shown that, story-wise. The only things not in the leak were the finished SFX. And bad SFX(which the final movie did have) were really the least of the film's problems.

The only things not in the leak were the finished SFX. And bad SFX(which the final movie did have) were really the least of the film's problems.

Let's take a closer look at the movie, compared to other X-men movies & other superhero movies. First, the movie wasn't that great, I'd put it around 50% rotten, which isn't a great rating, but I do think it got the bad end of the stick.
1. Credits were AWESOME, showing Logan and Creed going through war, and Creed becoming more and more blood thirsty. Liev as Creed is MUCH better then Creed in X-men (thug!). Best Credits in any Marvel Movie? I think so.
2. Set Up was fine, nothing special. Wolverine leaves the crazy group under Stryker and Gets a Girl, then believes Girl is killed. I liked the crazy group, however corny and cliche they were, it was fun, and funny together. Wolverine is a walking cliche, so don't expect Batman or Iron Man here.
3. Adamantium scene, I thought was pretty well done. Did it's own thing, and still kept to Continuity. It was the most intense part of the movie.
4. Animal Side - It wasn't very violent, like Wolverine could have been, and he didn't run with wolves, which could have been cool. But for PG-13, it's about as Badass as you are going to get it. Hugh Jackman was more Badass in this movie, then any other X-men movie, overall. He was bigger, he was less conflicted to do the right thing. I wouldn't go so far to say that he was better then X2, Mansion, but X1 and X3, much better.
5. Gambit - I liked Gambit in this movie. Could he have been better? absolutely.
6. Ending - My favorite part of the movie, is when Wolverine goes nuts when Creed is about to kill shadowfox for real at the end. The entire movie Creed has torn Wolverine new underwear, but that scene he just kicked Creed half way across the hall. If you are a Deadpool fan, then I can understand why you don't like it. Deadpool was sacrificed as a character for the movie, and Marvel and Fox did not realize how popular the character was until they threw him into the mega mutant experiment. However, I liked the X-kids and Professor X, I like how Wolverine was left with no memory and shadowfox was killed, and he didn't know what happened.
Visually Effects - Bad at times, but Good at times. Much better then X-men. But Visual Effects, like you said, don't show how great a movie is.
Story - Alright, much better then the X-men story where Magneto has a mutant changing machine to turn people into mutants? this story was much better then that crappy plot point, which was the whole scheme. I like X-men for the tone, action, acting, directing, ext, but the story falls flat. Fantastic Four, which is also on your top 10 list, was also not as good as story as Wolverine had.
Unfinished Movie on Web & Expectation killed this movie. I don't care what you say, an unfinished movie (visual effects and music) effect how you watch a movie. And seeing it unfinished can give you an unfair view of what the movie was trying to present. Expectations, it's unfair to think that Wolverine (walking cliche) would be better then The Dark Knight or Iron Man, which people expected, because they were released the year before. The movie fits fine into the X-trilogy. Not only that, but I think overall, it's a better movie then X-men, and maybe X-men 3, maybe. Wolverine better then the plot mess of Spider-man 3? Maybe. It's obviously mostly my opinion, but I think Wolverine was a better movie then most fans give it credit for. It never tried to be anything but a fun summer pop corn flick.

I don't think it's very good. But IMO it definitely is not in the same league as the likes of Elektra, the FFs, X-3.

1. Spider-Man 2
2. X-Men 2
3. Iron Man
4. Spider-Man
5. X-Men
6. Hulk - as I think about it, I appreciate it alot more.
7. The Incredible Hulk
8. ?
9. ?
10. ?

MY TOP 10:

1. Iron Man
2. Spider-Man 2
3. X2
4. Hulk
5. The Incredible Hulk
6. X-Men
7. Spider-Man
8. Blade II
9. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
10. Daredevil (DC)

The Fantastic Four movies are simply stupid. The Punisher's movies are or unfaithful to original source or too campy. Blade: Trinity, Spider-Man 3 and X-Men: Last Stand are simple wrong. Ghost Rider and Elektra are pure s**t. (I can't count Man-Thing :woot:)

Iron Man - Great movie. It came off natural and convincing even when light-hearted. Great example of good balance. 4.5/5

X-Men - Great movie. It showed that no matter how over-the-top the concpet is in comics, you can make a good adaptation by putting a heart in your movie and focus on the actual subjects more than in the common places. 4.5/5

Spiderman 2 - In spite of Raimi putting a lot of crappy humour, he achieved to flesh out his character beautifully. It had all the legendariness that the first didn't have. Plus, the villiain and the train sequence are top notch. 4.5/5

Hulk - Flawed, yes, but with a great scope of what a tragedy is. Ang Lee failed to mix his vision and the 'comic book movie corporative requirements.' 4/5

X-Men: The Last Stand - Say what you want, but this movie dared to go back to the characters' core conflict about how to define themselves vs how are they being defined socially as "outsiders." 4/5

X2 - Sure, it is fun, but merely a good average X-Men adventure. The main conflict of the characters as renegades is barely touched. Wolverine starts a long journey looking for his roots and finds nothing at all and Dr. Xavier spends half the movie hipnotized. 3/5

The Incredible Hulk - Felt too rushed and really liek a sequel of an unexistant first movie. That and too many "jokes" about Banner's sexual life, stretchy pants and Betty's temper with cab drivers didn't help. Hulk was well done when the camera was shaky or during nighttime and the actors were fine, specially Norton. 3/5

Spiderman 1 - Dissapointing, highly predictable but watchable. 2.5/5

Now, I don't know how to rate Daredevil (saw it too long ago) but I remember I enjoyed it much better than Spiderman, especially during the "origin" part of the movie. The villiains were lame though.

1. Credits were AWESOME, showing Logan and Creed going through war, and Creed becoming more and more blood thirsty. Liev as Creed is MUCH better then Creed in X-men (thug!). Best Credits in any Marvel Movie? I think so.

The idea for the credits was a good idea(I'll give you that) but the execution stunk. The entire opening was rushed and silly. I thought TIH had better credits, IMO. And Liev topping Tyler Mane's 1-dimensional Creed does not make Liev's take on the character good. I think Liev is a fine and capable actor(unlike Mane) but the interpretation was just wrong from the get-go.

Problem is that a good Wolverine movie has the potential to be every bit as good as Iron Man or TDK in the right hands. Now granted, they were kind of hemmed into a corner by bad creative choices earlier in the X-Men series.

3. Adamantium scene, I thought was pretty well done. Did it's own thing, and still kept to Continuity. It was the most intense part of the movie.

It's not a shadow of what they did in flashbacks with X2 or what they did in Hulk Vs. Wolverine. There wasn't any real suspense in XO:W's bonding scene.

TDK managed much more violence and darkness w/o sacrificing the PG-13 rating. I can be done. Jackman's physique in this movie is the ONLY thing I can say that is in any way exceptional in the genre. His physique is the gold-standard when it comes to actors getting in shape for their roles. But it ain't nearly enough to save the movie. And if Wolverine isn't able to become scary to the audience then we are not going to buy his animalism.

5. Gambit - I liked Gambit in this movie. Could he have been better? absolutely.

I agree he could have been much better. But then I wasn't clamoring for him to show up at all.

I put the FF up there because I ran out of better films to put on my list. But at least that had some humorous entertainment value(even though it's a horrible movie). I'm not a Deadpool fan(I stopped reading comics long before he was created) but I don't mind the character. I agree it fits well enough into FOX's X-trilogy series but then that isn't saying much at all since I really don't care much for them as a whole.

I thought Wolverine was a ***** in his own movie. When he was like "I'm the best there is at what I do, and what I do isn't very nice" I laughed.

One thing I'm curious about, with the Incredible Hulk coming out, and pretty much rebooting, and covering up the original Hulk. Quite a few of you liked the Hulk better then the Incredible Hulk, and I guess I'm curious why? There were aspects of the Hulk (2003), that I thought were great, but then there were aspects that didn't seem to fit into what a Hulk movie should be like. The Incredible Hulk seemed to capture the balance between Comic Book and Movie. Were a lot of you angry that they pretty much rebooted the franchise? I mean, Hulk (2003) is going to be forgotten, is already to a great extent, forgotten because of the newer version. Incredible Hulk came out with a new origin, a new cast, and I think they did a much better job, but what do you (who think it's not as good as the original) think about this?

I have thought about it for quite a while(since Hulk is my absolute favorite superhero character of all time). I'd say BOTH are significantly flawed from what was in the comics but TIH is better because it ultimately was the more enjoyable movie experience of the two. In that sense I put it about in league with X-Men1 & Spidey1. Anghulk is more in line with stuff like Superman Returns(yes, I know it's not Marvel).

I don't think it's very good. But IMO it definitely is not in the same league as the likes of Elektra, the FFs, X-3.

I guess that was my main beef, should Wolverine be in the same arena on the tomato meter as FF, Elektra, Ghost Rider. I mean X-men 3 got 56% and Spider-man 3 got 62%, while I thought Wolverine did a better job in certain aspects of the film, then those, and it got 36%. I think, and probably for good reason, people are just tired of Wolverine movies. Which is probably why Wolverine 5 is having a hard time being made.

I don't think there's been one marvel movie I dislike. haven't seen any of the punisher, blade, ff, original kids movies and ghost rider either sooo...
