I notice that alot of people are putting Iceman in there top 10 lists so he does appear to be a popular character, so why is he always **** on by the marvel writers??

probably cuz theyre making a lot of books feel retro (ASM, Mighty Avengers, UXM, Whedon's AXM, etc.) over the passed couple years, and to them that means Iceman is the 15 year old goof off/screw up of the group. and were seeing more 80s Claremont being referenced than anything in the 90s, so OZT Iceman is pretty much non-existent now. although Carey did do some nice stuff with him in Blinded by the Light.
