This only pertains to Superhero movies and actors who transformed tier bodies for a superhero role. No one is wrong as it's all opinion so what's your top ten?

I can't think of ten, but here goes with what I can think of.

Henry Cavill - Man of Steel
Chris Evans - Captain America
Hugh Jackman - Wolverine
Chris Hemsworth - Thor
Christian Bale - Batman Begins
Christopher Reeve - Superman The Movie

Cavill - He was incredible. Just nailed it.
Jackman - I don't really need to say anything here, surely?
Hemsworth - Also great, but looking at him, you can tell it's 'temporary show muscle' so to speak. Still, great stuff.

After that, it's a bit of a wash. Bale looked great, but bloated, so doesn't really stack up to the other three guys. Evans as Cap had some off proportions, and to me, looks like he'd been cheating his way there, so I'm not counting him. It looks great, but fake. Reeve was great for his time, but just for his time.

We need a thread for the super heroines for balance, by the way...

Cavill followed by Jackman and the under rated Reynolds for Blade Trinity. Hemsworth was awesome as well and to me in another class due to his height, putting that kinda mass on his frame is insanely hard and he did so while looking lean at the same time.

Bale looked good in Begins but he was very much in the midst of Bulking and leaned throughout the film. Reeve is unique because he, if im not mistaken, was the first actor to be put on a regime for a movie and you can see how much it worked.

I would give Tom Welling and honorable mention too only becuase he looked good for 10 years consistently.

Absolutely, also, if I am remembering correctly, at the time when he originally auditioned for Superman. He was pretty much a beanpole at that time and convinced the casting people that he could attain the physicality required for the role.

I believe Chris Reeve trained with Dave Prowse, a renowned weightlifter and body-builder at that time. And of course, he was also our beloved Darth Vader in Star Wars!

And also Patrick Magee's Bodyguard in Clockwork Orange.

1. Henry Cavill - Man of Steel
2. Hugh Jackman - The Wolverine
3. Chris Hemsworth - Thor
4. Chris Evans - Captain America
5. Christian Bale - Batman Begins (Mainly because of his previous role in The Machinist)

I'm not really sure about the bottom five but Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reyonds would have to be on there.

Jackman
Bale
Hemsworth

Those are the ones I found the most impressive and Jackman is first because he's my fav actor of the 3.

Tobey Maguire's body in the first Spider-Man movie was pretty ripped. Lots of people thought he was too skinny when he was first cast, but he surprised everyone with his "I'm... I'm fine!" moment in the trailer.

And all that on a vegetarian diet.

I'll give you, that for him, with his body type, fitness level before(an even inbetween) the movies... was kinda impressive

but, compared to most other superhero actors he would still far short of the top ten

^^
I disagree. Spiderman isn't as big as Thor or Wolverine. Maguire had the right level of "rippeness".
Which actor who played a superhero would you put in the top 10 instead of him ?

What was also impressive was how he when from being ripped in SM1 straight to jockey-size skinny in Seabiscuit, then back to being ripped for SM2. Again, all on tofu.

What is interesting is that some people now retroactively criticize the original trilogy for having Spider-Man be too muscular, and now embrace the lean Ultimate look of Andrew Garfield in TASM. I kind of see where they're coming from.

Also impressive is how jacked Aaron Taylor-Johnson got for Kick-Ass 2 as well as Chris Pratt for GOTG, considering each guy's starting point.

Don't sleep on Snipes in Blade 1. His looked the most natural out of everyone.

Top 5 would easily be:
1. Henry Cavill-Man of Steel
2. Hugh Jackman-Wolverine
3. Chris Evans-Captain America
4. Christian Bale-Batman Begins
5. Chris Hemsworth-Thor

Out of all of them I would say I think Cavill looked the best for what character he was portraying.

I think Snipes looked like a normal African American male in good shape with an athletic build, that's about it.

hemsworth changed big time

Jaimie Alexander, Hayley Atwell and Scarlett Johansson. :awesome:

The women don't really transform their bodies, so I guess it doesn't count if I say Black Widow and both Mystiques were my favorite bodies.

1. Anne – TDKR. Lithe and lethal.

The rest :oldrazz:

Daniel Craig – Casino Royale. Not a ‘super-hero’ but the guy was a military commando here. The biggest and baddest a Bond has ever looked.
Hugh Jackman – The Wolverine. I would not mess with this guy. He was ripped.
Christian Bale – Batman Begins. A beast of a bat and the deadliest on screen look so far.
Henry Cavill – Man of Steel. You will believe a man can hold up an oil rig with his bare hands.

Normal, please, he's one of the only few who can actually do most of what he does in his movies. If there was an exercise/athletic competition I would pick him over anyone that has ever portrayed a comic character.
