'Total Recall' ready for revival

Oh **** yeah, this looks amazing. That shot of Quaid taking down the guards at Recall is badass. Cannot wait.

It looks too generic to me. I've had enough with lens flares ever since Star Trek, and last shot still doesn't look like it will be as cool as this:

Action looks good. I like the look of the foot soldiers.

Dialogue sounds bad though.

I just wish Len Wiseman would do something different instead of going from a Die Hard sequel to a Total Recall remake. I think his talents are better served on something more new.

Looks great, and I seriously wasn't expecting it too.

If you're pissing and moaning about lens flares, I think you need to get a damned life.

Looks pretty cool. I'm a huge fan of the original but I'm giving this remake a chance. Between this and Prometheus, looks like we'll have some good sci-fi films this year.

It was done in one take with a slider rig usually used for car chase tracking shots.
Are you sure? Those pillars provide very convenient editing points to allow for multiple takes.

You have to have Quicktime Pro to DL directly onto your Hard drive. But I found it on Dave's Trailer page.
Depending on your browser you can change your user agent to QT and fool the links into letting you save directly to your comp. Incidentally the instructions are right on that trailer aggregator.

This looks awesome, well I'm a sucker for science fiction. It looks they didn't compromise on the budget.

Trailer looked pretty good, I'll check it out regardless too see Bryan Cranston's performance as Cohaagen.

Jesus, who pissed in your popcorn?

Perhaps some folks are sick of questionable CGI being dressed up with lens flares to make it more "realistic"? Its been a common trend in Hollywood films. Star Trek gets cited, not so much because its a bad movie or because the effects are necessarily bad, but because that film does have a near absurd amount of lensflares and was widely seen.

To be honest, when I first watched it in theaters, I didn't even notice the lens flare. Probably too busy enjoying the movie. :hehe:

And, now, even when I do watch it with the lens flares in mind, it still doesn't distract me at all.

I guess it's just different for different people.

That scene was well shot. You could clearly see all of the action that was going on without getting confused because the camera followed Quaid as he shot the guards down.

Looks good, hope it does well enough to see more done with the basic concept, which I think has a ton of potential.

I was actually surprised by how good the trailer was. I'm just afraid it will be a let down. I'm getting Terminator Salvation vibes.

Anybody got a link to the new trailer, all I seem to be coming up on is the trailer to the trailer.

I think I'm going to be enjoying the fight sequences between Beckinsale/Farrell and Beckinsale/Biel all the more when I see this movie in four months. :o

The action and visuals/SFX appear top-notch. Very impressive. However, the dialogue was incredibly bland and some of the acting appeared iffy.

Consider my ticket bought but I have low expectations for this film.

Looks pretty good. I hated the original movie but really liked the idea so I'm looking forward to this one. Colin Farrell is lightyears ahead of Arnold in basically every subject in the movie business even action.
