Ok, so its been re-established that Clark will get the training from Jor-el that he skipped out on the first time.

Do you think they are leaving this open if they do not get picked up for next year? (doubt that they won't)

Or

Do you think that they are going to have him training over the next summer break and come back more focused and trying to find out what he needs to do to become the savior of the world?

OR

Do they end the series next year with him going off to train?

and when is he going to go to college and get some training as a reporter?
I would think the Daily Planet would need some credentials in order to hire clark?

Also are we going to see Perry White again? Does he give Clark a break dispite having no credentials?

Jor-El : "Kal-El you must hide your identity so that all of the ones you love are not harmed , with all the infinite wisdom of the Fortress and all of Kyptonian history as a guide I suggest you wear a pair of un-stylish Glasses?"

its fairly certain its going to go for a total of 7 seasons. that being said G and M have said they go into each season with two plans, 1 in case they dont get picked up, and 1 in case they do.

the series alwys gleans alot from S:TM. Perry will be editor in chief and still owe clark one, Lois will be on the scene and an established journalist by then, not to mention clark will still be "the fastest typist [perry's] ever seen" Thats all the reporting training, i.e. way to get hired, that Clark will need.

oh and we already have thread for this:

kaboom actually started all the threads in january..
he needed that post # 300 badly..

i think that season 7 will be his training but, him travelling the world. So he know where his powers are needed.

Id have Clark leave Smallville for about 1/4 of a season, deciding that with Lana/Lex, Chloe/Jimmy, and his mom as a senator, the time is right to go, almost bitterly leaving. Then of course have him return to save the day once he finds himself, at super speed of course!!!

Training when the time is right?

IMO he's training began from since his first meeting with Jor-EL in "Calling" / "Exodus" in season 2 .

Im gonna say it again, Id have Clark off doing his own thing while everyone else stays in Smallville. You can do it, just up the budget for new sets and what not!

Well he'll need the training as the shows weekly villians have changed from Kryptonite Accidents to the "Zoners" which i feel was a step in the right direction and a new take on Superman.

Kal-El is gonna need to some serious training to battle escaped criminals, and he needs to start making that transision to wear glasses, if they wait to much longer its gonna feel akward and like GA pointed out to him hes beeen kinda selfish up to this point with only saving people in the Kansas/Metropolis region of the world

i'm going to say it again. they already reduced the budget this year, what makes you think they would do the opposite?

And where did you hear that?

They haven't reduced the budget, it's better than last year's.

Kai, I too remember reading somewhere that the budget was less this year. Might have been during the CW upfronts, I'm not sure, but it was a legitimate source. *shrugs*

Well, amonline, which is a credible source, said the opposite a month ago.

I can back you up on that. She said they got a nice little budget increase this season.

I think people confuse SDK's ramblings about tight budgets coming about as a consequence of budget cuts.

Wasnt that Clark that just saved the World from Zod? And I can think of countless other occasions where he has saved complete strangers. Green Arrow only said that because that's what he's seen. Clark was too humble to correct him.
