Revenge of the Fallen Transformers 2 but no Dionobots

The Dinobots were incredibly stupid. I could tolerate Grimlock being in the movie (as long as he's not a ****** like in the cartoon), but the "Dinobots" as a group should definitely not be in the movie. As soon as you bring in more than one it starts getting incredibly stupid.

Besides, Dino-Riders are way cooler anyway.

Never heard of Dinoriders, but Grimlock's gotta have his brigade if he's gonna be a genuine force to be reckoned with in the Autobots?

The whole point of the Transformers is that they're in disguise. There's no way they can make robot dinosaurs not stick out. It just wouldn't work. I can see them putting in Grimlock as something else, but that's about it.

Well you could have them start out by transforming into dinosaurs, like if they landed in a museum. When the autobots landed in the first movie, they scanned what vehicles were right in their vacinity. The dinobots could just scan their dinosaur counterparts, do their fighting, and then later maybe just scan a different earth vehicle. Bumblebee scanned a new car to transform into and Frenzy scanned Mikaela's cellphone in the first movie.

I can see dinobots but only if they are hiding in a museum being perfectly still. Then one night or day they start movin in front of everyone they freakout they are tryin to get to a nearby battle. Take that Micheal Bay.

I can see Grimlock not giving a rats ass about hiding. He finds the most menacing thing from Earth history and that is not a tank, it is not a plane. It's a freakin dinosaur.

"Me Grimlock, me like scary tall creature with sharp teeth, Grimlock not like crappy automobiles or stupid planes. Grimlock use sharp teeth to eat Decepticons. Grimlock hungry"

He's the freakin hulk of the Transformers. The Transformers movie-franchise will not be complete if not Dinobots are present.

It may seem stupid to anyone incapable of seeing movies through the eyes of their inner-child. But this movie is not for those cynical "always grown-up" people. These movies are for the people capable of transforming into 8-year olds again when watching. And for all of us who are capable of that, dinobots in a Bay-movie would own everything. It would be better then sex. Almost. Who the hell cares about what the "always grown up audience" thinks anyway? This is not the movie for them, so bugger of :)

I agree that they are too important part of Tf mythos to leave out. But i genuinally can't see where they'd fit in. he only one that I could see maybe working in the sjhort term would be the idea of Grimlock not giving a damn whether he is in disguise or not but in that case I'd imagine Prime would have something to say.
If the Dinobots are not dinosaurs then they are not the dinobots as far as I am concerned. I know Alt modes were changed for the other robots in the first film but the differnece with the Dinobots is that they traditionally spend most of their time in dinosaur mode rather than robot mode. Therfore the dinosaur alt mode is too importnat to discard.
As much as I'd like to see them I think its best they are left out unless it can be doen propoerly and they are not just shoe-horned in for the sake of it.

the allspark can turn robotic structures from an existing abandoned dino park into the dinobots, it's all very simple and straight forward and their limited intelligence will simply have to do with their age.

throw in something about allspark constructions on earth being stronger than on cybertron and that would explain it all.

it's easy peay and really does add to the mix but i'm happy to save them till the last instalment.

It still doesn't really answer the disguise issue though does it. Sounds a bit like the new animated origin for them, in that they ended up putting them in hiding. I think anyhting like that would be terrible in the film.

This is true, the thing is there is no way of introducing Grimlock and the lads into the film franchise without it having a big "WTF" on top of it, unless they use the character of Grimlock but he isn't a Dinobot. In the Dreamwave and IDW comics Grimlock was a Cybertronian tank before he came to earth, they could stick with that and use an earth tank as his alternate form rather then a T-rex. The whole "crash lands in a museum/theme park" is lame IMO.
