Age of Extinction Transformers 4 is going to be AWESOME. - Part 1

So I loved Jetfire in Revenge of the Fallen, unfortunately I can't relive that love because when I try to rematch Revenge of the Fallen I shut it off within 15 minutes.

I only watch the part in Beijing (Sideswipe's intro is badass) the forest fight (****ing awesome) and the battle at the end. t:

Realy? The Cinema snobs i see seem to also find Nolan an overrated hack, i've even seen statements that Memento was his only good film from one particular snob. /TV/ also seems to find him passable for the most part. I actualy see Spider-Man 2 getting some more love there due to Raimi's involvement, while he's not considered a genius, most seem to like him for the personality he gives ti his films and Evil Dead.

I had only read about them before going to see it and when I actually saw them on screen I almost cried in disappointment.

The only things I liked about ROTF were:

- Megatron's revival and then the shot of him flying off into space.

- Starscream's new look and the scene where he released an EMP burst to disable the radios.

- The forest fight.

- Jetfire.

- Devastator was cool, but wasn't used correctly at all.

The only film that is longer is TDK Rises. And that was obnoxiously self indulgent and long too. ASM2 also was. TDK and Avengers were just about right.

And yes there is a chance that this films 2 hours and 45 minutes could fly by. But looking at the evidence, the previous TF sequels, that seems very unlikely.

Revenge of the Fallen was one of the most long winded, bloated and boring film i've ever seen.

To you maybe. TDKR I found to be a much smoother film pacing wise in the last act than TDK and TASM2 is one of the fastest moving, over two hours summer movie I've ever seen.

The Twins don't bother me but I would've preferred it if Sideswipe and Arcee (or Jolt) were with Bumblebee's group.

It really is horrible.

The first film has it's fair share of dumb moments, but they are offset by, imo, a genuine heart and a bit of Spielbergian flavor. I remember being REALLY hyped for the second film because I loved the first (still think it's pretty damn fun too) and leaving the theater after that mess was really bitter and disappointing.

Revenge of the Fallen is like Bay making a parody of the first film with the humor and action ramped up to idiotically silly levels. The whole joke of Bay and his love of explosions is only truly funny in context of TF2 imo. The film isn't even shot well. The opening and forest fight are the only well done action bits of the film. Everything else is just a mess of CGI parts moving around really fast. The action in the third film is over-indulgent but it's staged much, MUCH better.

Holy **** I was not expecting this movie to that long, 2hr 45 mins? I am not complaining mind, I like these movies and I would much rather a film be too long than too short.

But that run-time is crackers.

Well, it's no pissing, farting or humping. So I have no problem with that. Seems like an innocent moment to lighten the mood.

The runtime is scaring me off a bit since my butt is going to start aching but I have faith that every second on screen will not be wasted.

This is something they would've done in the original cartoon so I don't take issue.

Its scenes like this that make me take issue with the runtime. When the film is approaching 3 hours this kind of stuff needs to be left on the cutting room floor.
