I like Hound already. It looks like the Autobots are going to have more personality that the last two movies.

I actually like that they have done something like this, shows Bumblebee and Hound can have cute and fun moments despite them being soldiers fighting a war.

Could be wrong, but I think this is the most dialogue the bots have had through advertising. Which I hope is a sign they actually converse more in this one.

Its scenes like this that make me take issue with the runtime. When the film is approaching 3 hours this kind of stuff needs to be left on the cutting room floor.

It is a three hour movie if you count the commercials & previews before hand

shouldnt they cut out action scenes? short Bay movies already have enough action scenes. his long movies have to much. Pain & Gain has a lot of action.

A review well more of a rundown of the events in the film showed up on bluray.com yesterday. I didnt read it, but the ones who did said that guy's opinion of the film was that it was very average at best. I figure that will be the general critical consensus. Average to bad. Thats how the other three were.

Think I read that one, but it was from some other site. Said it was on par with the past 2. Don't know if its legit or not but....

It said the Dino bots are created by Lockdown shooting actual dinosaurs with some sort of beam that makes them into Transformers over time. [/BLACKOUT]

They reviewer also seemed extremely disappointed that the dino bots get 20 min of screen time, which is actually alot compared to other bots in the series.

If they get 20 min of screen time I'll be more then happy.

^I wasnt expecting them to get that much to be honest, I knew they were only going to be in the final battle you could tell that from the trailers.

So did that review say that AOE is more like ROTF and DOTM rather than TF1 in terms of quality?

Yeah, I thought it seemed that way too with the dinobot screen time.

They said not as good as the first and as entertaining as the last 2.

^Thanks, just read the review, not sure its legit, this could just be info from behind the scenes of the movie for all we know.

And yeah, the trailers made it obvious the Dinobots only turn up at the end, Prime mentioning needing a new army and then him riding Grimlock into battle and that.

I wasnt expecting as good as the 1st movie but was hoping for better than ROTF and DOTM, despite finding both entertaining, will have to see for myself.

I'm going to predict a Rotten Tomatoes score of 45%.

A couple months back I predicted 61% for Amazing Spider Man 2 and I had one of the lowest estimates of anybody on the forum.

If only there was a way to gauge what the GA think and not just 'one of us'.
If someone were to ask my opinion on the last bunch of marvel films...I digress. Always so interesting to see how much weight is given to sole opinions before a release and what happens to that weight post release.

I expect the dino bots to get about as much screen time as godzilla in his film. I expect about the same amount of human time too only here with more personality(for better or worse).

Nice to see the bots having fun, very much like TFprime. At least people won't be complaining that the film doesn't have any fun(see criticism of some of these poster modern cbms). Kids films like how to train your dragon really revel in these moments of levity.

Ignoring the sheer amount of non bay films that do similar, it seems bay is finally using this element as a story telling point. Kinda writes itself when you replace the horny high shool kid with the over protective texan father.

Yeah, it's tough to know who to listen to when it comes to this series. Even if someone said this was worse then ROTF people are still gonna show. Doesn't matter to the GA, Bay fans or Transformer fans. These flicks are just too much fun and huge in scope, very few want to miss out and the box office shows for that. Where else are you gonna see a transforming robot with an alien sword charging through Hong Kong on a metal T-Rex ?

The only thing right now I'm dieing to know from reviews is confirmation that Grimlock speaks.

Well there is a big Transformers fan event that happened today at Universal Studios theme park in Hollywood ( I just happened to be vacationing here). There is a big Q&A session with transformers professionals or movie crew, exclusive gear, of course access to the ride at the park ( which is awesome btw) and other stuff. I managed to get one of the exclusive shirts and got a pic of the actual truck that is Optimus in the movie.

There is a rumor of a advanced screening of AOE but I am not 100% on that.
