That's so f***g long! And i usualy like these summer blockbusters as long films.

I don't mind these being long, but 15 minutes short from 3 hours? When you know that the product won't exactly be of quality storywise it just comes across as a bit obnoxious.

Then don't watch it. Geeze, last I looked, this was supposed to be the thread for those who are looking forward to the movie, not for the negative nancies. They already have a thread for that around here. Go post your negative bull ***** there.

His post is fine and not caustic towards anyone here. Yours on the other hand. Take a breath. There is no call to tear him a new ******* for making a true statement. This film doesn't need to be this long. And this film won't have a quality script. We are on the fourth Michael bay transformers film. If at this point you really think we are going to get a good script and that this film needs to be this long youre in denial. I'll still see it opening night, but this runtime is too long. All of Bays films have stuff that can be cut. When a film is close to 2 hours it's easy to overlook the extraneous bits. When a film is close 3 hours however it's a lot harder to overlook that extraneous crap.

Hmm, I get a bit frustrated when people make it out be some sort of chore and moan about the runtime. Not just TF movies, any movies. It's not our decision how long they should be, nor should it be.

Don't have time that day or feeling a bit meh? Then don't see it until you feel like it. I've done that plenty of times and probably have enjoyed movies much more just by waiting and needing a short break away from real world crap.

Just my thoughts.

It doesn't really matter how much I want to see a movie. My ass will be numb by the end of a film that long. That cant be helped and a numb ass is unpleasant.

And while it is Bays decision how long it is, that doesn't mean the runtime or decisions to make it that long is beyond reproach.

Complains about long films...sat through the Avengers marathon.

2 hours 45 minutes?

That's fine, but I'll make sure not to buy one of those gigantic movie theatre fountain drinks.

Actually, it's best to never buy those.

If this was an X-Men film, Spider-Man film or random MCU film the runtime would be met with cheers.

Well, I guess you can try and judge that for yourself as Lockdown speaks in this new TV Spot titled ''Villain''.

''You think you're the centre of the universe''
Wow, awesome spot. This looks a lot better than I was expecting.

Of course, superheroes are the most important subject matter on par with Lawrence of Arabia.

That would depend on the director of those films and his or her previous work. DOM and ROF were both in need of another pass in the editing bay this one is even longer so what do you expect of me? To cheer what past experience and precedent tells me will likely be an unnecessarily long film? Michael Bay has proven more than once that he struggles with making a tight and well paced film. Bay's films have plenty of great moments, but these moments are surrounded by potty humor, testicle jokes, the Twins...just generally low brow and unnecessary humor. And don't say, "well, you just want dark and gritty." I don't, and I like good humor it's just that I don't need this kind of sub par humor when a film is already running at 2 1/2 hours.

On this forum, superhero movies are perceived as a higher art form.

For example, in the Gal Gadot threads, people have said that Fast and the Furious movies are not adequate guide to how she'll do as Wonder Woman because the Fast and the Furious movies are "not serious".

New spot with Hound saying a line!

Man, I'm getting stoked for this flick now!

Who I'm I kidding? I'm watching this on IMAX 3D opening day.

They've polished up the CGI pretty damn well too. Nobody stages these shots for visual effect teams to go to work and create something beautiful like Bay does. Criticize the man all you want but he's one of the best directors in terms of "staging" and action dynamics.

Hopefully Paramount will rush out a bare bones bluray release of AOE sometime in september like they did with DOTM a couple of years ago.

Hound needs to shave desperately.:hehe: Although Hound is voiced by John Goodman are they depicting him as being like a brotha or something?

I think there is more to just Lockdown coming to capture Prime. I noticed on a previous trailer there was some sort of transforming lava thing, and now a larger shot of it in this new spot. It kind of looks like it's terraforming earth. Perhaps this whole human extinction thing is because the unknown enemy plans on transforming earth???

Have you even read my other posts? I've been talking about how i'm entertained by these movies all over the forums, at the previous page DA_Champion even asks be why i defend one of the most made fun of franchises around.

I barely post anything negative about this franchise.

I'm actualy surprised by myself, i usualy like these long blockbusters and don't realy get why people say King Kong 2005 is bad just because it's long. But after the Hobbit films i'm getting more tired for that kind of crap, there's a limit by how many explosions i can stand in 3D in a single sitting, and knowing Michael Bay, it's unnecessary.

Realy? That's a little depressing, no wonder these films are ignored or called stuff like "Capes**t" in various other sites.

Since seeing the Hound face on a pole from the set, I've always thought he should be voiced by Brian Blessed.... John Goodman is a great actor, don't get me wrong... But I think Brian Blessed would have been more... Fun.

Am I the only one surprised that that bullet flick didn't break his back?
