Transformers One Animated Film

$140 million covers the budget, but it's the lowest grossing Transformers movie to date. Hope it gets a sequel. :(

Kids and I really enjoyed this. Appreciate the thought that went into an origin story of Optimus and Megatron.

I'd almost rather the kids watch this version, rather than Bay's.

Hasbro released some info on the 13 Primes. Some interesting choices in there if you have some knowledge of other lore. Vector Sigma didn't surprise me, but Liege Maximo did.

I watched this earlier. I enjoyed it. I thought it really picked up in the second half but at the same time I also thought Megatron's turn felt a little rushed. I would have liked to see a little more of that but it's also understandable why they'd want to keep the runtime under 1:45. Brian Tyree Henry kind of stole the show for me as far as the voice acting goes but I thought Hemsworth did a serviceable job as Prime.

Overall I'd rank it among the better Transformers movies out there, even though it's very much its own thing compared to the 1986 original animated movie, Bayformers, Bumblebee or Rise of the Beasts.

Finally saw this and did enjoy it. I just don't like Sentinel Prime depicted as the villain. It's much better for Megatron's story IMO if Sentinel is a good guy or at least a decent one and Megatron still turns against him and destroys him, giving us the birth of Optimus.

The story as presented in the movie was pretty good though, and got surprisingly dark at times. Shame it didn't do too well at the BO.

Not surprised, but still disappointing.

10 years ago, if someone had told me a Sonic the Hedgehog film would make more money than a Transformers film, I probably would’ve rolled my eyes. Yet, here we are.
