transformers products thread

Does anyone know how to get the Botcon 2007 exclusive Transformers that are coming out this year, they include Thundercracker, Dirge, Thrust, Dreadwing and Bugbite.
I can't make it to the Botcon convention and the ones on ebay are uber expensive, the complete set is selling for over $500, I'm really only after Thundercracker, Thrust and Dirge if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Depends. If you join the collectors club they knock of like 15%. But the clubs admission price is over that 15% (so you end up paying more). :whatever: $329 for none members ($279 for members), and it's sold out too boot.

You and everyone else. (srsly no one wants Bugbite and Dreadwing) Go to a TF fan site that allows trading and see if you can score someones extra bagged set. Otherwise theif-bay is your only option. And have fun paying $100+ for everyone of them. :ninja: There were/are auctions for Thrust Ramjet and Dirge and just Thrust. The conhead trio was at $300 last time I checked, and just Thrust was at $90 something.

EDIT: Also don't expect to pay less than around $70 USD each for them either. After all their individual price is $65.80 USD (6.5 times the retail of a deluxe and 3.3 times the retail of a voyager BTW).

I swear my Ironhide was put together backwards...unless he has a swivel that I'm missing on the directions at his waste....He's like, assbackwards.

5 figures. 3 straight repaints and 2 repaint/remolds.

That's the boxed set that non attendees could buy. There also do 5 more for people who do. 1 is a free gift for the Primus (all inclusive) package holders. Plus 4 more that you can buy at the con. Test shots of one have found their way onto theif-bay.

Vector Prime into Alpha Trion.

Also the reason these guys are so expensive is that they have a low production run, ~1000 units. Economies of scale.

Interesting.

I'm also an idiot when it comes to Ironhide, stupid hidden swivel.

^ so am i. saw two trailer for it today in the cinema, i cant wait for it. im gonan get me a light up transformer t-shirt for it maybe lol

ahhh ok, thanks for explaing that lars. makes sense for them to be that much then i guess. then again if there just repaints. guess its not for everyone lol

Thanks everyone for your help, I had a feeling ebay was most likely the way I would have to go or a TF fansite, I didn't know they were going for almost $300 at the convention, kind of a rip considering the figures themselves if sold in stores would only be $10.00 each, Dreadwing around $20.00, talk about price gouging.

Like I said the reason they cost so much more is that they are making so few. A little over 1000 pieces each. Making them costs money, and the more you order the cheaper the end product is.

I just bought Prime (Leader class) a bit expensive here, $45, I got a bumblubee for 14.99 and a Ratchet for $23. All figs look good, But the Prime is really excellent.

Actually it is a little hardy to transform... Im lazy!

I already have an awesome Thundercracker.
LOL!
Thundercracker can be taken wrong in so many ways.

Well guys I just lost myself to an old addiction... Transformers. When I was a child I used to have all the classic Gen 1 Transformrs.. ALL yes... But inmature enough I broke them, trow them away and give them away.... Now I have to spend some money cause I want some Transformers figs!!!!

Today I bought a Classic Hot Rod(Rodimus) and a Classic Starscream...
And Ill post what I have to date... only 3.

Actually that Prime is pretty expensive....

But for next week Im getting the reissue of Soundwave... it is going for $60.00!!! Woot

I think that I am going to break down today....the only thing that will stop me from breaking down would be if HML2 is there.

The thing is I don't wanna spend any money on Transformers because Hasbro is puching them, and forgettgin about HML2 right now.

And what upsets me is that they could get these Transformers movies fgures out all over Canada and USA for the same time, but Canada and Los Angeles still have absolutely no sign of HML2........Grrrrr.

Okay so I bought

Leader Class Optimus Prime
Voyeur Class Ratchet
Deluxe Class Bumblebee
Deluxe Class Barricade

Now I need to know the proper classes of these to keep them all in scale.....I assume the ones I got were all correct.....I was gonna buy Voyeu Class Blackout, but it seemed too small, then I saw the Delux Class two pack of Blackout and Scorpinok and that Blackout Seemed WAY too small....and the Deluxe Class Brawl seemed too small......

Is there a Leader Class Blackout and a Voyeur Class Brawl? Cause I thnk there should be

Also the Deluxe class should be called Legend Class....not the tiny ones....

Okay....so I transformed Bumblebee and determined that he sucked.....Barricade rules in Robot Form though.

So I wanted Bumblebee back in his *Sigh* Camaro form, I can't get the tip of the front end in place.......it's all together properly.....but the front end wont sit back in it's place.

I used to wonder why folks would have transformers figs and have them displayed in thier Vehicle modes.....Now I understand.

MOTHER ****ER!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I just bought these Transformers and then I found out that coming later is a line called Robot Replicas.......

Basically bigger Movie version of the Revoltech stuff.....so Awesome Looking Non Tranfroming movie transformers...DAMMIT>

Now you shall learn what TF collectors have always known. Don't worry about scale, Hasbro never will. Why should you. :cwink:

However someone of TFW2005 purused the Decpticon line up and found a way to get a nearly inscale depepticon line up. It works by using Bay's logic that the TF with the biggest alt form is the biggest bot. In this case Blackout is the biggest 'Con. You work your way down from there. Voyager Blackout, Deluxe Brawl and Bonecrusher, FAB Megatron and Starscream, and LOC Baricade.

No. Leader class Brawl is (theoretically) coming. And Takara might be doing a voyager Bonecrusher for the Japanese market.

Well thing is Deluxe class isn't the standard size class (in theory), Scout is. However the Scout class for the movie line is a bunch of Energon and Cybertron reissues exclusive to target. Although the Fast Action Battlers are around Scout sized.

Now I don't have movie deluxe BB yet but from what I've heard of those who do. He can be quite fragile. That the mere act of transforming him can break him.

However I did searching for you. Another had a similar problem.

And this was the advice given.

turn his head around (face shouldnt be visible under the car), lock the power parts of the doors in place, then shove the whole hood up and force it into shape with your fingers.

then, before letting go, turn him over and look to see if a huge piece of yellow plastic is missing/broken off. if it is, congrats, you have a gimp bumblebee. tips for avoiding a gimp bee are somewhere in the toyark forum.

Nothing's brokn on mine but the hood looks like that
