I agree, at least if something happens to Megatron or Starscream he is there. Problem is Orci & Kurtz kept him out of the first one due to his role being nothing more than a cameo and it not pleasing the fans. So I am confused now... from the sounds of it his role is nothing more than a cameo that's not going to please the fans. Sigh.

Orci and Kurtzman kept Soundwave out of the first movie because he was going to end up being vastly different from his G1 namesake. Specifically, he was going to end up as either Frenzy (which is why he's got a radio alt mode) or Blackout (which is why he has a Scorponok minion).

This satellite version is much truer to the character and, and logically fits the name Soundwave.

If he's got no place in the story, it would be a huge waste of money to create his robot CG model and render him for 1 or 2 short scenes. Sad not to see him transform, but will look forward to seeing him in the third one.

I believe that is the scene where Sam sees the original 12 (Fallen became evil) Transformers/Primes after he was blown away by Megatron's blast and was in lala land.

So its Megatron that injures Sam severly in this movie. I knew he got injured I just didn't know how. Can anyone confirm for me?
