Transforming sound question

unless my ears deceive me, i only heard it once, during the opening scene w/ black out transforming

how come we never heard it again?

in one of the previews, we even have Optimus making the sound when he's introducing the Autobots to Sam, but in the movie, the sound wasn't there!!

I heard the sound (or variations) a couple of times, but it was usually only autobots, (mainly jazz, i think), after blackout.

I believe i heard it THREE times. The second time i saw it i really listened hard. You hear it during the Blackout scene, i heard it faintly blended in with Primes first transformation, then again 'faintly' when Starscream transforms during the end battle.

To be honest with you, i'm glad they didn't use it as it is. It sounds too unrealistic. That is unless they slowed it down, or merged it with the other clinking sounds.

I think I heard it pretty clear when that phone transformed in that cage/box.

they seemed to use it as an initialization to the transformation, anyway. Especially in Blackout's case, when he took time to transform, unlike some of the other quicker transformations later in the movie.

i agree with ur 2nd part of the post... it is unrealistic.. but a few times would have been enough for us fanboys!! t:

but how come Optimus didn't have it!! seriously, he should have, for his first transformation..... its Optimus for pete's sake!!

after the sound, blackout took forever to transform

i mean im sure Bay slowed it down to show the audience a transformer transforming for the first time

but damn it was pretty slow

i think making the sound as a 'initialization' is a great idea!!

well remember how they said all the technology for the past several decades was from reverse engineering megatron?

so in a way, all of our technology today is laced with decepticon blood

maybe thats why all the all-spark machines were decepticons.

-during BO's opening
-Barricade's first transformation(very slow and deep pitch version)
-BB's off-screen transformation when he was catching Sam and Makeila falling from Optimus
-One of Frenzy's transformations(can't remember which exact one)
-And the last time i heard it was during Ironhide's transfrormation at the final battle before he fired himself in the air to dodge the missiles
Thats all i can recall from my viewing in theaters and bootleg

oh yes and when the Nokia transformed in the box

Upon another viewing, I heard it three times for sure:

Beginning of Blackout, obviously. Typical 6 choos.

Bumblebee when he catches Sam and Mikaela. 3 choos.

Mountain Dew-bot. 4 choos.
