Transporter 3

I see it's salted for a November 26 of 2008 date.

Do you think they will bump it up to a R rating since Lionsgate is the studio now? I think these work fine as PG-13 no need to be R rated.

Looks like a mix between the first one's slight grit and the second one's flash. I'm game.

The action looks cool and closer to the first in style.

i'll be honest: If this movie is remotely good, this should have been the real Transporter 2.

the teaser looked good except for the sliding on the bicycle part. I liked T2 very much except the universally hated car jumping to disable the bomb sequence.

I have to admit I love these films. First one is like a cool, action-soaked flick. A plain, simple, always guaranteed to work formula. The second one is so over the top, so incredibly absurd....how can you not help but love it? :O

The new poster is nice, hopefully this is more like the first one though. Fingers crossed for there be NO love interest.

Hmm, i'm reserving judgement. LOVED the 1st...hated the 2nd. So...we'll see. :)

I hope they put out a better trailer where you can see the action better. and not from a russian site or whatever it was.

I don't know how you can top Lola from the last one, who was basically a live-action comic/manga assassin chick. You have to love the walking around in lingerie bit, which is basically how they do it in the books.

The first one was dumb fun but the second one was awful. I expect this one to be even worse.

Excellent new poster. Love how they rendered the three.

I love the first movie (esp. with lovely Qu Chi as the love interest), but the second movie was blah and went too overboard with unbelievable stunts (like how his car was able to do a loop and got rid of the bomb). I hope #3 will recapture the spirit of the first.

I agree.

the poster is very...well Transporter-ish, can't wait.

At first I hated Transporter 2 but for some reason I like it more and more each time I see it on FX. Though I still hate that car bomb sequence that others have mentioned.

I don't exactly think a 3rd Transporter film is essential in the grand scheme of things but I'd give this guy a chance purely because he has one of the most awesome names I've ever heard.

Olivier Megaton - sounds like a comicbook character.

Essential? No, but I sure want to see it.

I found this synopsis on the CHUD forums

"In Transporter 3 we find Frank Martin pressured into transporting Valentina, the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency for the Ukraine from Marseilles, through Stuttgart, and Budapest, until he ends up in Odessa, on the Black Sea.

Along the way, with the help of Inspector Tarconi, Frank has to contend with the people who forced him to take the job, agents sent by Vasilev to intercept him, and the general non cooperation of Valentina. Despite her cynical disposition, and his resistance to get involved, Frank and Valentina fall for each other, while escaping from one insane life threatening situation after another. "

That's actually one of the reasons I hated the 2nd one. I mean, come on...an assassin walking around the street in lingere? Gee...THAT'S not gonna grab attention.
