Tron Legacy Sequels

Basically they could take this story to new levels.

All they need to do is watch ReBoot! That was classic and always reminded me of Tron, they could take the story to the Internet! Job done! I should write teh story!

Actors always talk up sequels whether they are confirmed or not so not getting my hopes up yet, hopefully it does get made though.

i got a message from god.

he said that actors do somthing called ''selfpromotion'' and that only a studio can greenlight a movie and will announce it. then he asked me if i ever saw an actor confirm the sequel when then there was no sequel. i told him that this happens in hollywood every year.he also mentioned someone by the name Rodriguez who talks about a movie called ''sin city''. and then god asked me if i am stupid. i guess i am

Great! Great, now ask God for a better grasp on English. :yay: <--- dark b smiley.

I'll remain skeptical of this "news" until an official announcement is released.

^Best way to be, I think we will get one, but under the circumstances I just refuse to get my hopes up.

The writers said that the script for the third one is in development (at D23). I guess that means that the script they wrote a few months ago required some changes.

I hope they get a much better script this time. They have the talent, they have the visuals, for me all they need to do is improve the story

they need good pacing and good editing.

i am still shocked that the movie in 2010 was so slow like in the 80's. its like they didnt learn anything. i bet if the pacing was faster it would make more money.

I wanna see disc wars fought on bikes. That would be awesome! Or imagine like an all out war between tanks, recognizers, lightcycles and discs being thrown around - or hell even those light katanas and the light runners.

^To be fair dark_b I thought the pacing in T:L was much better than the original, the original just becomes a non event about 50-60 mins in for me and watching the rest is painful to me, never felt that way with Legacy.

No news but I thought this looked sexy as hell

Lol sorry but I tried finding some news but I came across that photo and I had to post it. Also I found out that they are releasing a Sideshow Collectible Rinzler statue.

I was kind of put off by how Tron Legacy made Zen Buddhism sound like some escapist way of life. It was a bit of an uneducated indictment of it. I didn't appreciate it.

I know you guys will get mad that i'm bumping this but I found this amazing fan made teaser for the 3rd Tron film.

The red would look great for a 3rd film.

Also Daft Punk got nominated for a grammy
http://www.firstshowing.net/2011/grammys-finally-recognize-daft-punk-for-their-tron-legacy-score/

Despite the fact that the 83rd annual Academy Awards honored some spectacular composers and their scores for the five films The Social Network, 127 Hours, The King's Speech, Inception and How to Train Your Dragon, one exclusion seemed almost offensive. Daft Punk and their phenomenal score for Tron Legacy was not nominated for an Oscar, and while plenty of people have praised the electronic and orchestral fusion of music, big accolades just haven't lived up to expectations. Thankfully, outside of the realm of cinema awards, the Grammys have nominated them for Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media.

Thank God! It was easily the best score of the year

Daft Punk's score practically made the movie.

So still no confirmation from the studio on a sequel? :( I hope it doesn't take another 20 years for a sequel. :oldrazz:

That fan trailer was pretty great.

Oh, and I totally want that Rinzler statue... It..so purdy.. :o
