so they updated comcast and the ratings. superman returns was at 3.5/4 meaning it was a classic. now they updated comcast and downgraded the score to...2 stars? WTF hahaha that cant be taken seriously after saying it was classic then doing something like that. they got rid of the .0 and .5's but that makes no sense because this movie shouldve been down to a 3 or up to a 4 seeing as crash was a 3.5 now its a four and terminator 2 went from 3.5 to 3. (and theres no excuse to downgrade t2, we all know its a classic, and its been out for 15 years lmao)

oh and the phantom menace is now at three stars.

Maybe someone from TV guide actually watched the thing.

^Or maybe they are too chicked **** to say they thought SR was great.

you guys are lucky it didnt get 1 star... it was bad aside from some of the effects...

it had a 3.5 outta 4 on the other rating scale...makes no sense how it would drop. same with phantom menace going up from a 2.0 to 4 or spidey 2 going from 3.0/4 to 4/4. spidey 2 does deserve 4 though it actually used to be 4/4 then they swicthed it to 3.0/4 and now to a 4/4 because they have no idea what they like lol

Jesus, who gives a flying crap about the star rating on TV Guide?

Look, we need something to ***** about. It's what we at the hype thrive on.

Why? Were they afraid of being lynched by an angry mob if they said it was a good film?

<- puts tar and feathers away

I see the rating as a 2 star movie. I'm not surprised. The film is really not that good. I'm sure they researched the film and overall reaction to the movie in various circuits to come up with the film as a two star movie.

People need to accept this. It really disappoints me when people are not willing to accept that a film which they personally perceive to be good, is not really considered that great by the general populace. Most people I know think Bryan Singer dropped the ball with his rendition of Singerman, and Superson, due to his fanaticism for the Donner fim.

Probably, i have noticed that TV guides often change their minds about movies depending on fan reactions to them, Empire did it a lot with Hulk, they gave it 4 stars when they reviewed it first, then in an article a few months later slated it, then when the review for the DVD came they gave it 4/5 again. Stupid.

Also with SR, when they first reviewed it, they gave it 5/5, then when they reviewed it for the DVD release, they gave 4/5 (which is still a great rating BTW) and gave the movie nothing but praise!

Well most people i know liked, Plus, go to Amazon.co.uk, it has a an average of 4 out 5 stars from 69 reviews, seems many liked it there as well, and SR ALWAYS performs well on polls on SSH. Plus in the Total Film READERS awards, which thousands of GENERAL movie fans voted on, it got the 'Best 2006 Movie' award.

Seems pretty well liked to me.

They were creaming their pants they weren't in the "bandwagon"

Because it's clear they can develop a personal opinion like other people. So they went for the most popular one so they can still be liked. Happens everywhere.

Who is not accepting that? I don't know about "general" populace, but I can accept - and can't care less about it - that many people didn't like it.

The case seems to be the opposite; it is you who's not willing to accept some people liked it and have good reasons for it. You care so much about other people's opinion to the point of feeling "dissapointed" that they don't think the way you want them to think. Unbelievable.

Most people I know think Bryan Singer dropped the ball with his rendition of Singerman, and Superson, due to his fanaticism for the Donner fim.

Most people you know means what exactly?

And your "Singerman" calling shows you are more eager to hate than to debate properly. Maybe so your inability for it won't be shown.

^Dont even get me started on some of the **** you have come out with Buggs.
