Good to see more love for the Hills Have Eyes, i loved that movie

I got Crank on the shelf and Clerks 2 on order from the bold

I love the third act of the Hills Have Eyes it was so bad ass, I haven't seen that movie since it was in theatres I hate poser horror lovers, people who just like to see gore and stupidity, just so they can laugh at it...

Worst of the Worst: Art School Confidential, no big budget, but sucked just as much if not more than DC, or SR. Larry the Cable guy Health inspector (what was i to expect), and Lady in the Water

Pleasent Surprises: Thank You for smoking, Crank, Idiocracy, Inside Man, Hills Have Eyes, Silent Hill, Invincable (Cliched yes, but clichedly awesome), Hollywoodland (The Return of Chucky!)

Hostel - 2/5
-Decent horror flick that turned me off with the eyeball blowtorch. I can't handle **** with eyeballs. Brrr.

Firewall - 2/5
-Harrison Ford is better than this.

Final Destination 3 - 2/5
-The Roller Coaster scene was what got me pumped about this flick. Sadly, they totally wasted it in favor of cheap CGI. Lame 3rd entry in an otherwise awesome franchise.

The Hills Have Eyes - 5/5
-Awesome flick with a majorly badass final act. This is proof that sometimes remakes *do* work.

V For Vendetta - 5/5
-Never read the comic, but goddamn this movie kicks ass. V's speech to the commoners sends chills up my spine. Awesome.

Lucky Number Sleven - 2/5
-Would have been a 3 except I managed to guess the ending pretty early on. Lucy Lui was very cute, but ultimately it felt like I'd seen it before.

Silent Hill - 3/5
-Liked it quite a bit, but then I've never played the games. The ending sucked and felt tacked on.

Mission Impossible 3 - 3/5
-Far better than MI2....but not as good as the original. DePalma nailed the feel of MI with the first movie and while this one didn't capture that feel, it was still far better than the neutered-John Woo of MI2.

Davinci Code - 2/5
-Didn't read the books. Decent flick, felt prett formulaic. Hanks vast talents were wasted imo.

Over The Hedge - 4/5
-Most pleasant surprise of the year. I'm not into animated flicks but this one cracked me up. Great cast, this one rocked.

X-men Last Stand - 2/5
-FOX should have waited for Singer to return. Cyclops gets wasted (literally, this time!) yet again, everyone dies....ugh. A lame-assed 3rd entry in the X-Men mythos. Ian Mkellan rules once again as Magneto....I'm SO split on this one.

Nacho Libre - 1/5
-I want to like Jack Black as much as the next person, but this flick sucked. His sidekick was pretty cool, but other than that, I got all my laughs from the trailer.

Superman Returns - 3/5
-A pretty awesome Superman flick except for 1)the kid and 2)Singer's devotion to the Donner films. Overall, a wasted opportunity from the normally excellent Brian Singer.

Clerks 2 - 4/5
-Fitting closure to the original Clerks. Randall's jail speech had me in tears...who knew he cared that much about anything?

Lady in the Water - 4/5
-Lovely move about a fairy-tale come to life. I don't get why everyone hates this flick.

Miami Vice - 2/5
-Hugely disappointing but what did I expect? Major letdown.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - 4/5
-Typical Ferral movie but damn it was funny. Great dialogue and cast.

The Illusionist - 4/5
-Beautifully filmed movie. Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti are excellent as always. Definitely worth a rental.

Snakes on a Plane - 3/5
-Exactly what the hype led you to believe it was. Sam Jackson vs snakes on a goddamned plane. Bonus points for sheer horror (a few deaths kinda freaked me out). CGI snakes looked pretty fake at times though. Fun movie
overall.

Rocky Balboa - 5/5
-By far my favorite movie of 06, Sly proved he still has something left. I had tears in my eyes all the way through his movie. It was that damn good.
