Tyler Mane won't be back as Sabretooth.

er a little from column a a little from column b

but i do think the under taker is a bad choice

and that guy with the hat dosent look like him

I actually think that Lance Hoyt looks more like Sabretooth than anybody else there. Sabretooth has a generally young look to begin with.

And with that said, that picture was actually why I thought of The Undertaker as Sabretooth. If they go with the long hair though, I can see him doing a good job with that as well. Plus what all of these guys have in common is a personality that fits the character so it wouldn't take much effort from them.

Now...let's see your choices.

In fact here's a better picture of Hoyt.

But looking at his profile, his real height is 6'7. That may be ideal for the comic book Sabretooth but movie Sabretooth has to tower of Jackman.

While a wrestler would suit the part physically, I'd be worried about the acting chops. I would like someone with some acting ability.

Front page of the Hype says they're reaching out to Gerard Butler for the role of Sabretooth...

I won't mind but those who want Sabretooth to tower over Jackman won't get that if Butler takes it.

Hmmm... just one thing... Myspace...

Could also be just some guy who says he is Tyler Mane. I have some bad experiences with all that, you see it a lot. People signing in.

I am Tyler Mane or Hugh Jackman or whatever and in fact they are not. Best to wait for the official news :D

yes what i was going on about really is the fact that these "WRESTLERS" cant act very well

infact they cant even pretend to be hurt well and i dont think fox is going to give this fan boy fave part to a bloody wrestler regardless how they look

sabertooth originally was a wrestler ok yeah yeah but if they are going to go the wrestler route again then i spose hhh is good for it

If any of these wrestlers ,that you guys chosen, could act, I woudn't mind. Hoyt and Nash look the part.

Nash was offered the role of Sabretooth before production of X-men began, but had to turn it down do to wrestling commitments

i wont be annoyed if they choose a wrestler for the role as long as its done well, and to be honest il buzz of the film anyway coz it will have hugh jackman romping around as wolverine so i dont care who he beats the crap out of eventually as long as its a good SNIKT moment

nuff said

I think Mane could've done well. I was annoyed that he wasn't in X2 or X3.

Kevin Nash is a good actor for a wrestler but he is pretty old..he is 6`11

oo controversial: Dog Logan and sabretooth next to each other.

didnt paul jenkins say he did not intend for Dog Logan to end up as sabretooth? (although i think he was happy to imply it, based on the physical appearance)

or have i missed something?

He said that wasn't his intention but he left it open just enough for others to interpret. It's much in the same way that Sabretooth was intended to be Wolverine's father at first but then a later writer decided against it. Jenkins may not have implied that Dog is in fact Sabretooth but he didn't deny it either. He's leaving it juuust a smidge ambiguous enough for someone else to exploit.

EDIT: Oh and after re-reading Origin last night, Jenkins HAS to be BS-ing us. :p I mean the guy is just Sabretooth all over. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. My theory is that superstrength is Sabretooth's primary power (as showcased a HELL of a lot by Dog in Origin) with the healing factor and other Wolverine traits being a secondary mutation.

I agree with you, especially about your edit. i was just being snarky for the sake of it. I genuinely believe, that even if it takes 20 years for them to cough to it, Dog will turn out to be Victor Creed. I suspect at some point will we get a special "cos you demanded it" (although we havent demanded it), the 'untold' origin of Sabretooth, or how dog logan became sabretooth, or aomething silly like that. (maybe even another sabretooth limited series)

no way man. im pulling for triple h as sabertooth. with creed being my favorite x-men character, im very nervouse to see who plays him after how amazing tyler was. but triple h not only has the look,he's a very good actor as well. his work in blade trinity was awesome, and also shows he's good at being a kind of beast guy. maybe kevin duran would work as well

Wow, never thought about that, it would be interesting indeed!

That will open up a flood of questions.

When did Creeds healing factor and mutation kick in?

Where are the scares on his face?
Cause since the scares are already healed his healing factor should not be able to do anything about them.

Why is he called Victor Creed?

What about the Birdie flashback where he is shown as a child locked up in a basement all feral and wild?

Since Logan recalls origin does that imply he knows Victor is his half brother?

It does raise a lot of questions, yeah. The scars can easily go away if his face came off at one point. Just like how if Wolverine gets a tattoo and the flesh comes off, it does not grow back with the tattoo on it.

As for his origin showing that he was a mutant as a child, I don't think that was confirmed to be real. It was a Weapon X implant and we all know how those guys like to screw around with memories. It can be assumed that it was only partially right (the abuse for example is right there in Origin, which is already enough of a basis).

Victor Creed's name has always been Dog. Who wants to go around being called Dog Logan? My guess would be he either made it up or killed a guy and took it. Remember that Sabretooth has memory issues just like Wolverine did but does not stress over it like he does.

And Wolverine could very well know that they are related. We haven't seen the extent of his memory recovery yet. Obviously there are still holes to fill, which is why we have the Origin series now. I mean the guy has yet to make a mention of Rose or Smitty.

Glad to hear he won't be returning. Hated his Sabretooth. Enough with the wrestlers, good a decent actor.

Indeed, that would be a rather well thought throug explanation.

Yeah they made that one easy.

Getting his name isn't that hard as you have stated, I do however have a hard time with his mutation. That one is not easy to explain right off the bat.
Dog is shown in his mid 20's (Origin VI: Just before Rose dies) without any kind of mutation.

And Angel I think is in his late 20s when all of a sudden he got a healing factor. Let's not forget that for a while Iceman couldn't turn back to his flesh form because his powers got out of control. Or the many mutations of Beast for that matter that has been proven would happen eventually but he only sped up the process. Oh and Emma's diamond form that has NOTHING to do with her psychic powers (yes, I know Cassandra Nova helped that process along too). Secondary mutations are like that.

Oh and I believe his mutation at the time was superstrength because, comic book embelishments or not, no normal man can punch someone in the back and have them go flying through the air and imbedded in a wall.

Ya but Iceman got a swinging belt out of the deal!
