Ultimate Mystery interview! Eh apparently the mystery that begins in Enemy won't be resolved lol, but The Thing is receiving his big change in next issue. I do remember that Bendis did twitter that Ultimate Enemy would have the introduction of new Doctor Doom. Wonder if thats still the same. :p

Any word when Doc Ock is coming back? Haven't seen him since the Clone saga. Although he popped up briefly to whup Norman a bit in the death of the Goblin arc.

No news about him. Anyhow time for some JULY Ultimate comics!

How many Hulks do we need?!

I would have read Avengers #6. But the damn volcano ash has prevented comics shipments this week to the UK...

wow, sorely disappointed in ultimate avengers 6. cap v. skull was a huge letdown and that fury stuff at the end almost made want to cry...i thought they were fixing that guy then they make him take up the same old m.o. but with an incredible petty end goal...damnit millar!!! i trusted you to deliver! now i have no ultimate books to enjoy :(

Ever since Fury wiped out all those scientists at the end of Ultimate Origins, i've sort of despised this version of Fury. Its a shame cause i've always been a fan of the 'Sam Jackson' Nick Fury.

You enjoy no Ultimate books because you didn't like the ending to one story?

Wow. What a limited worldview.

Can someone post a spoiler of what happened in issue #6?

no, this was the only ultimate book currently in production i enjoyed and the ending of it has ruined the 5 issues leading up to it and tainted any future the book may have had.

you suck at the games of reading/making assumptions.

red skull is kicking ass, making people relive nightmares and things then cap shows up and runs him through with that plane he stole. end of fight. then it turns out that fury hired the skull to steal the cube and create a situation only fury could handle in the hopes of getting his old job back.

Sure. Because that makes sense.

Avengers #6
I liked the issue. I kinda hyped myself too much on the actual fight, so i may have ended up dissatisfed, but when you think about it. Was there really any other way for them to defeat the Red Skull? I found the kill-move quite real and surprising enough for a Cosmic Cube wielder to lose. I really enjoyed the cliffchanger twist tho. That pretty much made me fist pump towards the sky and scream "Aw yeah!" when we find out the nasty little secret about Nick Fury.

Overall Ultimate Avengers 1 is a good start off for the next 3 upcoming books. We're introduced to Miss Lang, Rhodey, Gregory Stark, Red Wasp and we see familiar faces like Steve, Nick, Clint and a new twist with Hulk being a nerd clone. Good stuff and a good beginner for the next serie.

Avengers 2 #1
I really enjoyed this issue. It was a great opener and a really great origin for Punisher. The 1 silent page, along with dialogue exchange with Nick Fury perfectly sum up who Punisher is and how lethally dangerous this man is. I'm also happy to see this guy isn't such a fanboy towards Captain America like Millar made the mainstream one into. I did laugh how Punisher found himself looking up abit ridicilous with the new costume, but hey interesting to see it will enchance his strenght and endurance most likely. Still really great action, nice way to introduce Punisher. Bring on the first Hulk!

I loved the early Ultimate Punisher appearances in Ultimate Spider-Man, and how Peter would take him out pretty quick.

I liked the issue a lot. Wouldn't it be interesting if, on a Black Ops team of characters with ambiguous morals (if they have any), that the Punisher is the only member with any real morals? Or if he has the best morals out of them all?
Not saying it looks like they will, but it would be interesting to me if the guy who murders anyone associated with crime turns out to have the best morals.

We all know Punisher needs an "A" letter on his forehead so he can punch an alien and say: DO YOU THINK THIS STANDS FOR MORAL? WE'RE THE AMORAL AVENGERS!

I don't see Ultima Nick as Sam Jackson at all. Jackson's a bad ass, not an A-hole. Marvel should put Ultima Nick's head in a floating jar with limited life support.

So, New Ultimates was released this week.
Interesting developments for Ult Enchantress and her plans this week, but the girl power bit seems a bit hokey. Also, did Carol Danvers really shoot Hawkeye between the eyes?! 6.meh/10
