I thought this thread might be an interesting way to keep track of things that had been changed by the New 52. Or things that at the moment seem undone.

Like the JLA never expanding their ranks and adding new members. According to the new 52 comics it started with Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, and Cybrog, and has never expanded or added any other superheroes.
This raises many questions. Did the run where Speedy joined the team as Red Arrow, that also had Hawkwoman, Vixen, and Black Lightning, happen? Did James Robinson's run that included Donna Troy, Super Girl, and Nightwing as Batman, happen?

Also the I don't think the past JLI from the 80s happened. So does that mean Maxwell Lord didn't put a team together in the past? Did Booster Gold never meet Blue Beetle back then? Did Max never try to take over? Did Blue Beetle never try to stop him and get shot in the head? Did Wonder Woman never break his neck? etc.

So what are some other changes? Maybe we can work out a sort of timeline type thing of things that still happened and things that didn't.

Stuff that we know still happened includes

Most though not all of the Batman continuity including
Knightfall
Batwoman's origin and all her previous appearances before the ongoing
Batman Inc starting up
The Death and resurrection of Jason Todd
Damian Wayne
Barbara Gordon being crippled
Her time as Oracle and working with Black Canary. Presumably the Birds of Prey stories happened but without Huntress or Lady Blackhawk
All the Robin's still exist
Dick becoming Nightwing

We also know that most of the Green Lantern stories still happened apparently

The Legion of Superheroes continuity is completely unchanged thankfully :)

Azzarello has said that most of Wonder Woman's continuity is unchanged I think

Once again the real change was to Superman and the Superman family and slight changes to the Justice League.

The best way to sum it up is this: anything that is not Batman, Green Lantern, Deadman, Hawk & Dove, Hawkman, or Aquaman; throw it all out. And from those characters, pick and choose.

I thought as the issues reveal what has been changed and what hasn't this thread could be a place to keep track of it.
Like Ma and Pa Kent have been dead for years, before Clark became Superman and moved to Metropolis.

They had to have been....there's no way Martha would have let her son wear that horrible new Jim Lee design.....she probably would have given Mr. Lee a super ass whooping for it! Just goes to show Clark could still use a bit more of their guidance!:o

Actually, hasn't Animal Man and Swamp Thing's histories remained largely intact?

At least their more legendary creative runs by Morrison and Moore.

Nope, even Swamp Thing and Animal Man have been rebooted. They incorporate a lot of familiar elements from Moore and Morrison, but the continuity for them is just as fresh as almost all the other characters from the DCU.

In issue 8 of Justice League Batman specifically says-

"We all know what happened the last time we let someone else onto this satellite and into the Justice League" followed by a panel of The Martian Manhunter tearing through the League.

So that pretty much answers that question to me.

Although, I'm still not entirely sure where in the timeline they are supposed to be. So certain things just may have not happened yet.

Justice League is now set in the present day.

How were they rebooted though?

They've referenced Moore's run multiple times in Swamp Thing already.

It seems like Swamp Thing and Abby never had a daughter, for one thing.

Poor Tefe :(

She's probably chilling with Wally West and his family right now

Right... But I meant in the grand scheme of the D.C. Universe. It's only been 5 years that the League has been together. Does that mean that events, characters, etc. that happened in the old timeline over the course of 50 years will never happen or will they happen in different ways? You know what I mean?

No clue where Wally West is. Martian Manhunter has gone from being the heart and soul of the Justice League to some violent alien who chills with Stormwatch.

Like I said above, unless it's Batman, Green Lantern, some of the Brightest Day characters, and the Legion of Super-Heroes, just chuck it all away. Maybe they'll happen in different ways, maybe they'll just never happen. Who knows.

I really hope we'll see a bit more of the old J'onn in his personality soon

He used to be lovely :(

I blame it on him trying to kick his addiction to oreos. He's trying to go cold turkey and its making him angry and violent

The 52 Earth Multiverse that's been around since 52 no longer exists and one of it's Earths (Wildstorm) has been folded into the new DCU which led to it's characters being significantly revamped from the ground up.

A lot of stuff from Delano's run is being used in the current Animal Man too.

Yup.

All the histories of the Wildstorm characters are completely wiped.....which f**king sucks. :argh:

It's so stupid cause they were just starting to get everything together again with Wildstorm too. Now we have a Grifter and Apollo and Midnighter who are in many ways more boring than the real ones. Though at least the latter are starting to fare better than the former now.

:csad:

So many stories erased

But how are you liking Stormwatch at the moment 'Nubsy

editorial stated that none of the crisis' have happened....which means final crisis didnt happen....which means batman didnt "die"....which makes no sense given batmans current continuity.
