-Sofia Butella is The Mummy, Tom Cruise is playing a navy seal.
-Luke Evans is Dracula, they launched the monster universe with Dracula Untold.
-Johnny Depp is The Invisible Man
-Bride of Frankenstein: they're courting Angelina Jolie
-Van Helsing/The Wolfman: I think Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon, Mark Walberg, Vin Diesel are all top picks for the studio.
-Creature from the Black Lagoon- I remember reading that they wanted Scarlett Johansson.

Dracula Untold is out apparently. They wanted to attach it to the Monsters Universe if it was a success , that's why they added the end scene.

Creature from the Black Lagoon is in their thought's and they did want Scarlett but that was back then not sure now.

So is Untold part of this or not? I'm confused.

Posted this a while back.

Alex Kurtzman says' at the moment his Mummy reboot isn't connected to the Dracula Untold movie and the monsters universe but it might be still. So his movie could be the actual start of the monsters universe.

Is it connected to Dracula Untold, or is this the start of the Universal Monsters cinematic universe?

Alex:
The Mummy isn’t connected to Dracula but I think that is an ongoing conversation.

Are you setting it up so any of the characters in your Mummy will be available to future monster movies?

Alex:
That’s very possible.

Universal should just come out and make a definitive statement on it. Untold wasn't a masterpiece, but there's no reason to discard it, especially with as great a Dracula as Luke Evans is.

Kurtzman himself doesn't seem entirely sure if it's in or out.

Didn't Hugh Jackman already play Van Helsing?

Yes but that's not part of the new Monsters Universe. And he wasn't Abraham Van Helsing but Gabriel.:funny:

Van Helsing still is a guilty pleasure of mine, felt like the closest a lvie action film came to Castlevania.

My one magic wish movie is a great Dracula vs. Wolf Man vs. Frankenstein monster movie.

Finally got the Jackson King Kong Bluray/dvd combo steel book for $10 at Target.
I liked the film! I still think they could have chose someone else than Jack Black for that part

Give me Alan Cumming for Dracula, complete with a Vlad the Impaler moustache.
