Still want Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Leo DiCaprio
Sure we can! What characters do you think will suit them? I can imagine Damon as the wolfmanHey we can dream, right?

I believe so. The screenwriter for Prisoners is penning the script, last I heard.
I'm not sure a shared universe is gonna work for the monsters. Just doesn't seem like it's gonna be that great of an idea
The only classic monster I fell is worth remaking is Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Everyone knows Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Wolfman, Mummy etc.
There already was a major Dracula Origin movie...a Wolfman remake...that Victor Frankenstein movie last year...the Brendan Frasier Mummy movies are still regarded as good.
The Van Helsing movie didn't need a decade of individual movies to put all the monsters together. That movie even had Dr. Jekyll.
The Monster Squad just threw the classic monsters against the Goonies essentially.
We don't need all these excess movies. Make a mega Monster movie and if it does well...then you can spin off into individual movies. The DC route basically.
Sources tell Variety that Javier Bardem is in talks to star as Frankenstein in Universals cinematic universe with rebooted versions of classic monster movies. Its currently unknown which movie Bardem would first appear in, as The Mummy, the first film in the monster universe, is about to wrap shooting.
Ironically, Bardem had been approached about playing the Dr. Jekyll role in The Mummy, but passed on the part, which opened the door for Crowe to step into the role.
"Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein" nailed the connected cinematic universe thing 60 years before Iron Man, and a comedy would be a great way to introduce the monster mash up. One idea I read had Key and Peele taking over the roles of comedic foils to the Universal Monsters, and I think that would be perfect.
Fantastic! He is a wonderful actor.Javier Bardem eyed for Frankenstein role in Universal's monster universe (EXCLUSIVE) http://bit.ly/28JzcN2
