Wether it's coming out next year or not

For me:
Batman 3
Spiderman reboot
The Green Hornet
X-Men:First Class

I'm going to boycott 1,2,and 4. I've never boycotted a comic book movie in my life.

Why not atleast wait to see what said movies are going to be like before you decide to see them or not?

For instance, for all we know, the Spider-Man reboot could be a fantastic movie and bring a whole new way of approaching the characters. However much you loved Raimi's films, it doesn't for a second mean there isn't another director who can make a good Spidey film.

Anyway, I am completely dumbfounded that a Jonah Hex movie has been made. Not only because he is an obscure character, not only because it's a western and not a superhero movie, not only because the character has no cinematic appeal whatsoever, but because the film itself looks lie a completely unispired, by the numbers straight-to-DVD yawn-fest. It looks cheap and dull and I would bet good money on it being a flop.

I'm not an X-Men fan, so 1st Class is the only comic film I'm pretty sure I wont see.

Well, one,I'm not a fan of the X-Men when they are teenagers,I think the Spiderman reboot is going to be bad from the sounds of it,I never liked the Green Hornet and I never will be,and I think Batman 3 will suck. As I have made it clear before,I just don't really like Nolan's Batman vision at all,I just can't see Nolan topping TDK. I don't think much of Raimi's Spiderman movies, like around 90%,and I only own Spiderman 2 because it's close enough to being a good Spiderman movie, but not as a true Spiderman movie where things are perfect imo.

i don't caretoo much for thor. i never readthe comic books i only got the oldthor in 1970s the incdaible hulk with billy bixiy and the hulk cartoon thor vs the hulk. i don't care too much forcaptian americna i never readthe comic books only seen him inthe avgner . i might wait unitl i see the trailer. imay not care to much for the superman remake. if they justuse lex i may not watch it. i think they should put in super villian instead of lex. maybe zod or dooms day.

I'm not looking forward to the Spider-Man or Fantastic Four reboots - to me, they're just the lazy way out of the crappy decisions made with the last movies. A studio (like a comicbook writer) should be held accountable and allowed the chance to at least try and rectify their mistake with a proper sequel (/following story arc), but it's becoming all too common to just scrap it all and start anew, which will mean treading over the same story for those characters, which is a damn shame. It isn't like with Incredible Hulk, where Marvel got the rights back and was allowed to try to do what they wanted to do with the character - it's the same studios that screwed these movies up in the first place that are trying to fix them up. Not a good sign, in my opinion.

Why on earth would make a thread that incites negativity like this?

Jonah Hex .. I don't like the look of the film and it even comes off possibly campier than Ghost Rider. Only thing that comes to mind right now.

Out of the films listed here I think Spider-man is the one I'm most worried about. There is really no way to tell how it will work out though. Spider-man is the one I want to succeed the most. Nolan will give us a quality picture , Green Hornet looks interesting, X-men first class (although pointless) has a decent director and I think it will be a solid effort.

I don't understand how someone could say Nolan's batman films are bad. I'm just not seeing it . I could understand if you don't like it but they are so far from actually being bad movies. Especially if you consider the characters many interpretations and how some of them have been so campy in the past.

Captain America. Everything I've heard about it has been bad so far. From the main actor to the inclusion of Bucky.

I do really like Joe Johnston's movies (Jumanji was a staple of my childhood, and his serious work in October Sky gives me faith that he can do a period-piece without making it too corny or unrealistic) and Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull are two good reasons why I'm still on-board for the movie. I say bring it on and let the shield fall where it may, but at least see the movie before fully condemning it.

Jonah Hex - it just reaks of flop

I can't understand why Batman 3 will suck. And I don't care if it tops TDK or not. People expecting that are crazy. I just want a solid Batman film. I just hope it's better than all the third films in comic book franchises.

Bat3 - Nolan's take does nothing for me
Spidey reboot - liked Raimi's take just not looking forward to this
Cap- Had high hopes for this film but JJ IMO doesnt have it anymore and the decisions made on this film are not impressing me

I don't hate Nolan's Batman movies as movies,I just don't like them too much as Batman movies. They aren't good enough but flawed as well imo,to me, they are so so yet but flawed. If you catch my drift. Are you trying to tell me that there is no room for improvement in Nolan's Batman movies?

IMO TDK was a good crime movie but its a terrible Batman film

Agreed, unlike Nolan's Batman, the other Batmans sounded good, had a better looking mask that didn't make them look like they had too wide of the head, and were more intelligent and untouchable compared to Nolan's Batman. His is just so damn pervasively torture like imo. Oh and of course Batman in the other Batman movies at least didn't contemplate giving up being Batman just because some bad guy wanted to kill off innocent people,Batman to me is someone who takes risks, not one who dodges them.

No offense, but I'm calling bull s*** here. I can't see any comic book fan boycotting a Batman, Spider-Man, and X-Men movie. Even if your fanboy side doesn't urge you to see them, your curiosity above anything else will compel you to see them. Especially if the fan reaction to them is positive.

Ummm Batman has contemplated giving up in the comics several times. Even handing over the mantle to someone else for good (Azrael, until he turned psycho).

Even in the fan favorite Mask of the Phantasm, Bruce was considering giving up being Batman when Andrea came back into his life again, and Alfred supported his decision.

And I fail to see how Nolan's Batman is somehow less intelligent than the others. I never saw Nolan's Batman taking his mask off in front of a villain ala Keaton in Returns in front of Schreck.

actually I think he was going to quit in Batman Forever

True he did,but that only happened because Dick saved him.

I know Batman did all of that stuff in the comics,I just take that kind of issue in the movie universe. And two,I honestly don't think much of the Spiderman, new Batman movies,or the X-Men movies for that matter. I've never been a big fan of them because of their direction, not even close.
I'm not a blind fan of Batman,Spiderman, and the X-Men. Especially Spiderman.

But the thing is that Selina knew that Bruce is Batman before that, she even acknowledged that she knew,so it only was only semi stupid for him to take off the mask and was at least done for a reason despite that. "Not as dark as your's Bruce.".

So you have a double standard?

You don't have to be a blind fan of anything to check out any of the movies. I've never read an X-Men comic in my life. But I'm still going to check out the new X-Men movie. I didn't care much for X-Men 3 or Wolverine either.

I'm not talking about Selina. I'm talking about Max Schreck. You know, the bad guy that Batman foolishly unmasked in front of.

That was a dumb thing to do.

True he did,but that only happened because Dick saved him.

Not the point. The fact is that he was going to quit being Batman.

You would boycott a Batman sequel but you enjoyed Transformers 2 and you are looking forward to Transformers 3?
Check please :o
