t:I'm not sure how I feel about Neil's apparent new arc.
Yeah I wasn't keen on that either, it felt like another retread as if Neal just goes in a circle. I would rather they concentrated on finding out who killed Segal.
Exactly. It just doesn't feel new. And it didn't seem to fit. Neil suddenly declaring that he didn't feel bad when he stole things from Peter/lied to him etc. That contradicts everything he's done over the past three seasons, and all the growth he's had. It even contradicts why he got in with the Dutchman this season. If he really didn't care, and didn't feel guilt, he would have left Peter in prison.
Yep, it's dangerously close to falling into the circular rut that shows like Burn Notice and The Mentalist got in, where they are too afraid to evolve from their formula.
Exactly. That was why I was hoping we'd get a Peter on the run arc. It would have been an interesting twist to his character to force him into situations where he had to operate outside the law and become a fugitive. Instead of this, they're going back, once again, to the old status quo.

Something is not right about Rebecca. I've been hoping that she & Neal would be a legit couple. But the way she accepted Neal's lies was too easy. Then last night she really wanted to be in on the heist. Something ain't right with that ridiculous hot red head of a woman.![]()
