Drama USA_White Collar Series Thread

The Burke 7 con was a lot of fun. :woot: good return for the show and I'm liking the sexy insurance claims investigator Sara, I hope it's not the end of Alex though.

Alex still has a few eps this season. As in next week

I enjoyed the ep but man I'm getting tired of how these characters are made formidable then taken down so stupidly. Why break into a secure building with cameras instead of the guy's house? Apparently the only way to get out of the US is legal identification.

I liked Sara this ep but would like them to stop using her as the end all be all of insurance investigators.

Great episode. Sara is a good character. She's sexy too.

Can't wait for next week's with Peter and his stache.

I wish Elizabeth had more of a part. It was effectively Burke's 6 plus 1 more for like 3 seconds. But other than that, lots of awesome. This show is still incredibly fun.

I am finally caught up on the new season and liking it a lot.

Hilarie Burton? Of course she is. She's from One Tree Hill. People can say what they like about the show, but it is a breeding ground for hot chicks.

I will demand that Sophia Bush plays Lois Lane until my dying breath. :o

"Heilige Scheiße!"

Good to know that the censors don't bleep foreign swears :p

Great episode.

Peter trying to sound like Neil was hilarious. And then Neal doing the two finger beckoning to the office was great.

Neal finally got it with Sarah. :awesome:

So who stole the art?

Lot of suspects, the only ones who I am positive did not do it are Peter and Elizabeth.

Alex is a suspect, but she's almost too obvious, same with Mozz.

Could've been Kate, though why introduce the Neal/Sara/Alex love triangle if you're just going to bring Kate back? A love square would be too crowded. Still, Kate running the long con, staging her death and then stealing the art would be a good twist.

Keller is another possibility. He would make a good running villain.

But my money is on Sara. No one would see it coming.

At any rate, TV Guide had an interview with show creator Jeff Eastin that gives some good season three details including....

More flashbacks, including how Peter met Elizabeth (he also hinted at more Peter facial hair!), and Mozzie's backstory, a Jones-centric episode, and we will finally meet Diana's girlfriend, Christie

It all sounds great. Here's the full interview.

Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from Tuesday's season finale of White Collar.

Con man Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) found himself behind bars — and then in the custody of agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) and the FBI — for stealing from the rich. But in the last moments of White Collar's Season 2 finale Tuesday, Neal's biggest loot, literally, fell right into his lap.

After finally tracking down Vincent Adler (Andrew McCarthy) and the very surprising object of his worldwide hunt — a German submarine from World War II full of priceless art and jewels — it seemed the worst was really finally behind Neal. But just as he closed the door to his past, Kate and all, his future became a lot more complicated when he discovered an anonymous "friend" had pillaged the U-boat and left the billions of dollars worth of goods in a warehouse especially for Neal.

"The last second of that shot changes everything," creator and executive producer Jeff Eastin tells TVGuide.com. "Neal's goals, all of that is going to change."

Season 3, set to premiere sometime this summer, will pick up just 24 hours after Neal's surprise discovery. "There's an entirely new mythology and a new story that comes out of it and that's what I'm really excited about," Eastin says. "Season 3, for Neal, is really all about choices."

Adds executive producer Jeff King: "The relationship between Neal and Peter really goes back to the basics. It sets our new season up in a really interesting and intriguing way, which is, is Neal going to stay or is he going to go?"

White Collar: Inside the season finale two years in the making

Those choices expand far beyond whether he'll return to a life of crime. Now that Neal finally has closure about who murdered Kate and an intriguing new friend in Sara Ellis (Hilarie Burton), is he ready to settle down?

Eastin warns that while Neal is finally over the death of Kate (Alexandra Daddario), he will never get over the idea of her and a more idealized (and normal) existence. "There was Kate on one side with the white picket fence and on the other side you had Alex and the chaos and the excitement," Eastin says. "Sara is somebody who can represent the middle ground. She can give him what Kate offers, but at the same time what Alex offers."

White Collar promotes Hilarie Burton to series regular

Neal and Sara's future is unclear at this point, but Bomer is optimistic about their "grown-up" relationship. "I don't know that Neal is going to all of a sudden become a serial monogamist and they're going to be doing laundry together, but they're definitely going to enjoy each other and see where it goes from there," he says. "There's sort of a high stakes aspect to her life and her intelligence and her self-sufficiency that he finds attractive."

Here's what else to look forward to next season:

More flashbacks!: After Season 2's hilarious flashback (featuring Peter's unforgettable mustache and Mozzie's full head of hair), Eastin says Season 3 will feature a closer look at the back story of Neal's longtime partner in crime. "We've got a very specific Mozzie episode," Eastin says. "It's not going to be a straight flashback episode, but we will see young Mozzie. We will get to see why he's called Mozzie and how he came to be and how he came to New York." Perhaps Peter's mustache will make a return cameo as well? "I think that was just a taste," DeKay says. "We can flashback more because Peter caught Neal twice so there's more chasing to be done."

Elizabeth's new gig?: Viewers will also get to glance into Elizabeth's past, which may also offer some hints towards her future. "You'll definitely see a little bit more of her background in the art gallery world, which is she came from and how she met Peter," Tiffani Thiesen says. "She actually might go back into that field."

A peek behind the curtain for Diana and Jones: Eastin also says the show will delve into more personal details about two of Peter's most trusted team members: Diana (Marsha Thomason) and Jones (Sharif Atkins). This will include a Jones-centric episode, as well as the long-awaited introduction of Diana's life partner, Christie.

i say its Alex but its such an obvious choice I talk myself into it not being her . However awesome season and will Neal tell Peter?

I thought it was a good season finale although I felt the final showdown with Neal and Adler was a bit rushed. I was surprised at how quickly Peter turned on Neal, it will be interesting to see how that effects their dynamic next season.

I liked how things developed with Neal, Alex and Sara, and by the sounds of things this will go further in season 3, in fact everything set up and planned for season 3 sounds great, especially expanding the development of the supporting characters.

As for the big ending, very interesting indeed! It's hard to make a solid guess on who left Neal the treasure, as to move that much stuff would indicate more clout than Alex could muster and I don't see Mozzie playing games with Neal.

Keller is a possibility if he has an endgame because there's no way he hands Neal art worth billions without a reason, however I think you could be right about Sara, Matt, she could be giving Neal the treasure as a test to see if he really has changed before she really lets herself fall for him.

Great finale. The ending was awesome too with Neal smiling.

I love what they have set up for this coming season. The trust between Neal and Peter heightens, Sara getting thrown into the mix, and who the hell blew up the warehouse and delivered the treasure and let Neal know about it.

I thought in this episode Sara would turn on Neal and be working with Vincent. She's still a possibility though. It may seem odd given where she originally comes from earlier in the season, but who knows. I like the idea of Kate faking her death to run the con on Neal. Although Neal being behind it all would be great. I love the suspect within the cast stuff.

The idea of Neal being behind it is intriguing. Though I don't think he is. If he conned Peter this whole time, then the trust can never be repaired and Peter would have no choice but to send him back to prison.

Kate makes a lot of sense, especially when one considers that she initiated the sequence of events that led to her death, but if Kate is returning why create a Neal/Sara/Alex triangle? It just takes things from being intriguing to overly complicated and crowded.

Yay! :woot:

For those who don't know Hillarie Burton (Sara) will be joining the cast as a regular in season 3. Right now, she is my guess as to the person who stole the treasure at the end of season 2.

I liked the character of Sara and i was really pulling for Neal to realize she would be good for him.

I think Neal does realize she'd be good for him, which is why he pulls back from her. Neal's still got a self-destructive streak.

The thing is, she is TOO good for him. Something has to be wrong. Factor in that Peter has been pushing so hard for her....I think she stole Adler's treasure.

Good start. I like what they've done here. Rather than continue the music box subplot they've made a very clear twist that was so obvious that it was completely unpredictable.

[blackout]Mozz stealing the music box kind of puts Neal right in the middle of a battle between Peter and Mozz. Through this, Mozz has for all intents and purposes become the show's running antagonist. Kind of the continuous devil on Neal's shoulder. Its an interesting and potentially great route to take the show.[/blackout]

I do love how this season is shaping up so very nicely. Neal is going to be so conflicted by the end of this season, which is going to make for a fantastic season finale.

This opener was great. Even though Peter still suspects Neal. Still, that last scene between them reaked of an underlying mistrust.
