Drama USA_White Collar Series Thread

Interesting start to the season, but despite the potential for the arc I think the banter scenes are hurt by the fact we know Neal and Peter are both lying to each other, it's like a reset to season one.

On a side note, they need to bring June's granddaughter back for more eps. :woot:

At least Sara is back in next weeks episode.

I think the scene at the end of this episode where Peter tells Neal he is "part of the family," was made to address the concerns that you express. The look Neal gives to what should've been playful banter was great. It shows that he is feeling guilt about what he is doing. I like that. It kind of adds sincerity to the banter as despite the lies, there is geniune affection.

I liked this weeks episode a little more this week. I loved that we actually got to see Diana's girlfriend for the first time.

That was a great scene, the look on Neal's face sold it all. It was a good ep as well, giving Diane a bit of development, delivering the usual strong story with inventive solutions and fun banter. I thought the stuff with Neal, Sara, Diane and her girlfriend was great, Bomer and Burton have great chemistry, Mozzie killing the moment was hilarious. :woot:

* Note to the writers - I don't think high end business men do their own killing.

I'm loving this season so far. They've managed to keep the compelling subplot of the list while going on with the main plot of each episode. That takes good writing to pull that off. Just think of it: they have to plot the standalone story first then go in with the overarching plot and insert that into the episode in a fluid and natural way. They've done very well so far.

Plus I always enjoy when Mozzie and Neal have to steal something.

Yeah, I'm surprised at how well they're pulling off the Nazi art stash subplot. I was worried that they'd play Neal and Peter against each other too much and the show would lose all of the charm of their bromance. But they've managed to keep it down to a very subtle cat-and-mouse game with the tension slowly rising in each episode so far. I like it.

I also like the new intro. I don't think anyone's mentioned that, which is surprising. Kind of funny that we're now 3 for 3 on new intros, but I'd be happy if they settled on this one. I liked the music from the second intro best, but the current one as a whole is way better than just scenes of Neal driving a car. I especially like the ending, where Neal steals the picture of the title card off the wall. :D

I don't care for the new intro. :(

As for the cat and mouse game, you hit the nail on the head. It is a slow boil, and when it finally blows up....it should make for a great payoff.

Loved this weeks episode, good to see Jones getting active in a case, all the stuff with Peter, Neal and Elle was great and I liked the scenes with Neal and Dine in the van, it really got a bit of something from each character.

Yeah, this was definitely a step up from last week's episode, the weakest one. But this was great. The lady was hot to boot. Too bad she was a killer. The art sequence was pretty damn funny.

If Neal Caffery and Harvey Spector were to be in the same room., the building would first freeze and then collapse Michael Bay style from shear coolness.

This week was a lot of fun, the awkwardness of it all was actually... enjoyable. Mozzie stole the show for me. The writers do a great job in their portrayal of marriage without getting overly sappy, I dislike mushy stuff but I enjoyed the ending. While I enjoy the subplot, it was nice to have a show without someone bringing it up.

What I like is that the subplot is always in the background. Neal being Peter's best man....the look on Neal's face when he said he would, its all building up to Neal deciding that the FBI (and more so Peter) are more important to him than a life of crime. The subplot has been developed really subtlely this season and I love it.

Next week's looks really good. Neal tells Peter in the preview that he never hit rock bottom. I can't help but wonder if Neal's rock bottom is going to come in the form of stealing from Peter (for all intents and purposes, he stole the Nazi treasure from Peter)? I think next week will be when Neal realizes that he can not go through with selling the art and going on the run (even if its not explicitly stated).

Robin Hoody for the win, and the first domino falls for Caffery. That getaway won't be as clean as he thinks now.

Another fun case this week, it was hilarious to saee Mozzie get the action. :D I'm loving the way Neal's conflict is building, Bomer has been superb with his facial responses to the various moments of comtemplation.

Loved this weeks episode, it was great to get some backstory on Jones and the two action sequences were well shot for a show that doesn't really do action, I especially liked Neal vs the merc archer. :D

Neal's conflict at the end was palpable!

Next weeks looks great as well.

Anyone else surprised how calmly Neal took the news that Mozz had put a hit out on Keller? especially with the fact it was made clear in the first episode that Neal hates guns and violence.

Eliza was looking magnificent as always, hope they find a way to bring her character Raquel back. :hrt:

White Collar 3x10 - "Countdown" Promo (Summer Finale)

Looks more like the episode will be about Neal in slick con/thief mode than any big reveal between him and Peter regarding the treasure.

I guess he did take that calmy but I think he had other things on his mind like Sarah, the treasure, Keller, Peter, and etc, etc.

Good finale for the season halfway point, Neal and Mozz seem on shaky ground right now but I am glad Neal made the choice he did. I also loved how he and Peter had conversations without actually saying what they were meaning, and Beau Bridges was great as Peter's mentor.

The big heist Mozz and Neal pulled off was as far fetched as it gets but in a fun way, and I dug the Indy homage with Neal and his hat. :woot:

I guessed Keller would take Elle but they did a good job taking your focus off him for the duration of the episode. It will be interesting to see if the 6 eps of the second half of the season are done in episodic form with the entire focus being on getting Elle back, or if they will get her back in the first ep. There is also a really big scene between Peter and Neal coming up where all the cards are put on the table, I am sure.

This was a great summer finale. I was surprised that Keller came back and even more, that he took Elle. The ending to the episode was great. and that building hesit. Awesome. Loved the exxhanged between Mozzie and Neal when they finished the job. It captures the coolness of this show.

I hope Sarah comes back she is good for Neal and made him want to be a better man.
