Drama USA_White Collar Series Thread

Eliza Dushku.

I hate that they made Neal choose between Peter and Mozzie. I imagine Mozzie'll be back, but it was sad to see their friendship fall apart like that. :csad:

Finally caught up on the last 4 episodes. Very fun stuff as usual. Loved seeing Eliza Dushku and hope we see more of her in the future. Could never get tired of looking at her.

But that mid season finale cliffhanger :wow:. Glad Neil made the choice to stay. But man Peter is going to lose his ****. Feel bad for anyone that gets in his way. Hope he puts a bullet between Keller's eyes.

Now the long ass wait for the show to return. :csad:

I predict the season starts back up with Peter throttling Neal. Keller's only in town because of Neal's treasure, after all. ;)

I loved Eliza Dushku's visit too. I wonder if Mozzie will run off with the tresure too.

Was it just me, or did the episode feel a bit rushed, like they tried to cram too many twists in instead of focusing on the tension and drama of the situation.

I kind of found Peter very out of character as well. I felt he 'got over it' too quick, and would have liked to have seen him in at least a bit of turmoil over the fact that Neil committed a crime and he is allowing him to get away with it scott free.

And mozzie just sort of shrugging off the fact they'd lost the score of their lives? Yeah right!

Basically, it was a bit underwhelming :(

Pretty much agree, it was fun but I'd have liked to see it play out over at least 2 eps and have some real conflict between Peter and Neal as Peter's anger was way too short lived.

I also think they killed the tension with the Elle stuff, I mean she never felt in any danger just stuck in a nice apartment with a guy that was clearly dumb as a brick, and to make it worse she cut through that window and escaped, not only was that silly but it robbed Jones and Dianne of fullfilling their part of the arc with any real drama.

I felt like they didn't give us enough of a payoff too. Neal and Mozzie just roll over because Elizabeth's in danger. There's no real fallout from Neal's betrayal and Mozzie's even greater betrayal. I mean, I could understand if Neal and Peter mended fences immediately because the whole point of this arc is to show that Neal's finally there because he wants to be, not because of the ankle bracelet and the threat of prison otherwise. But Mozzie committed to making off with the score of a lifetime. They had a good chance to throw a real curveball into the characters' relationships by having Mozzie stick to his guns and go on the run, creating a lot of tension with this season's nemesis being Neal's best friend, whose only real crime is sticking to the life they both formerly loved.

But it wasn't a bad episode overall. A bit of a lost opportunity at worst. I have to admit, I am pretty interested in the prospect of Neal winning his freedom and being on equal footing with Peter in the future.

episode would have been great if it was 2 parts. being 1 felt really rushed.

Yeah, that was a decent episode. Loved Peter catching Neil teaching Elizabeth to pick a lock :hehe:

And ooh Sara's back next week, cool, i like her a lot :)

TBH, I'm wondering where the rest of this season is going with seemingly no 'big bad' having been built up.

That's something I really miss from the first season - this real sense of direction, each episode in some way connecting through the thread of an ongoing plot.

While I have enjoyed the last two episodes, we now have no ongoing plot really, other than Neil's release... And we all know that's not going to change anything! :p

Completely agree.

I mean, Peter has been secretly suspecting all season, and trying to catch Neil out. He's been lying directly to his face, and even sneaking around to cover it up. There should have been a much bigger scene of confrontation than there was IMO.

And yeah, Elizabeth being treated a little less like a house guest would have certainly added to the sense of danger, and also the tension in the last episode of her being 'traumatised' and paranoid...

That would have been a really interesting idea, having Neil have to out think Mozzie to catch him :)

Phew. Scared me there. I thought you meant "out of the show."

And yeah, I think most people regularly viewing this thread already knew about Matt's predilections. I know I did.

yup. I was....oh **** hes out of the show? Dont really care if he gay, straight, lesbian, trans. long as he puts on a good show, all i care about.

Yeah, If he left the show it would ruin it, no matter what his real life situation is.

LOL, just like everybody else I thought he was off the show. Which made me wonder how there could be a show without him. I'm glad it had nothing to do with the show.

I also don't understand this obsession with gay people "coming out". Who the hell cares, just do your job and be a good human being and let God sort the rest out.

Matt Boomer is gay big whop the only people who care about who's gay or not gay is gay people and homophobs. l

Yep, I already knew and it's not a big deal. I bet a lot of women really were upset when they heard the news, though. ;)

I was surprised with the recent coming out announcement. Only because I already thought he did years ago.

And when I saw the post saying Matt Bomer is out, I really thought he was done with the show. Then I clicked the link and breathed a sigh of relief.

Anyway, looking forward to the finale. Looks like it's going to be a crazy one.

Loved the finale.

Also, Rob Lowe for [blackout]daddy Caffrey[/blackout] damn it!

I liked how they inter-cut the race against time aspect with the interviews at Neal's hearing and felt the episode allowed all the characters to have a moment, I particularly liked Jones straight shooter interview.

I've never seen those tram's before, I recall in an interview back when the show started, Bomer said it would showcase a different side of New York, less gritty and grimy than most procedural shows, and in this ep I felt it was a really great visual backdrop to the drama.

The outcome of Neal finally knowing for sure who he wants to be was great, his comments to Peter about not being worried whether he lost the anklet or not was exactly where his arc has been leading from ep 1.

Of course now bitter Kramer has forced Neal to make a play that sets up next season with him in a very different situation than in any prior season, essentially trying to find a way to get his FBI job and life in New York back.
Peter vs his mentor should be a highlight of season 4 along with hopefully more on Neal's past and more specifically his father.
