^Exactly, the characer wouldn't be good in his own spinoff as some people think.

Isn't there some Comic Series with Venom as the 'good guy' so to speak? What's it called again, eh.............Leathal Protector or something?

Yes there is and Venom is not as Dark a character as everyone is making him out to be he was a protector of innocence his only real beef was with Spider-man/parker. Spider-man for ruining Brocks carreer and Parker for rejecting the symbiote. Even in the cartoon series he comments that all he wanted to do was be a protector of good.

And I think he eventually turns 'good' in the cartoon series aswell. I'm worried for this film. Everything sounds so easy. We're meant to hate Eddie; it's meant to be easy for us to hate the combination of the Symbiote and Eddie known as Venom, as he will be portrayed as the very 'personification of evil'; Brock and Gwen know each other, thus it's easy to bring Eddie into conflict with Peter and Sandman is perhaps Ben's true killer. It sounds like an obvious cop-out for a film that had the potential to be great with the raw materials it had.

I hope I'm wrong.

What if instead of killing Venom he is jailed or perhaps defeated but escapes and in Spider-man four Peter pursues Brock trying to save him because he feels somewhat responsible for what Brock has become and knows that Brock is not completely at fault for his action having himself been a victim of the symbiote. This could further complicate things between MJ and Pete with him sort of slipping from over confident to paranoid and doubtful of his ability to keep those he loves safe from a vengeful venom who is out to de3stroy Spider-man/Peter. Then for fun add in Carnage which forces a Venom and Spidey team up where in the end the symbiotes consume each other and Brock will have redeemed himself. The theme can center around self Doubt and fear.

more like spiderman5 or spiderman6. i do not even think carnage will be in a spidey movie. he is a violent villian, if he was featured in a spidey movie then he would make a breif cameo as cletus cassady.

You are just plain ignorant, The reason they have basically revealed every aspect of Spiderman 3 except Venom, because they know that he is the one who is going to generate the most hype, so weather he is awesome or he sucks, everyone is going to be dying to see venom, how he looks, how he acts. Even casual fans, or just people who think Spiderman is cool, but don't know much about him, know Venom, and want to see him.

Ignorant? what are your credentials?

Most casual movie goers will not have a clue who Venom is!

Im not a Spiderman "Fan"... I like the comics and the movies and i do know who venom is... but most movie going public will have no clue.

...Venom will be used to sell the movie but only by hinting that there will be a "surprise" enemy... something a little bit special to add abit of extra thrill to the movie... The name of the character will be irrelevant to 70% of the viewers until AFTER they have seen the movie!

finally someone who makes sense around here. these young people on these people don't understand because they had venom shoved down their throat in the nineties when there is an abundance of characters who have a much better story to tell.
